Got 2 hours to myself today, I might actually be able to go on a super fun ride.

Can't decide on a first bike, what should I get? IE:Wut naked bike iz gud

My top 3 choices are between the FZ07, SV650, and CB500f. FZ is most expensive and the one I want the most. I can pay outright but wanna take a loan to build credit. SV650s are cheapest, but hardest to get a decent condition one around here as they're mostly rebuilts and beat to shit or heavily modified. The cb500f is mainly in consideration because I think it looks sexy as fuck.

A couple others in consideration are the duke 690, monster 6/7somethings, and gsx-s750 mainly because there's been a couple for cheap/cheaper than the fz07 in great condition around here

I'm very mechanically inclined and can do just about any work myself, and I know not to be a dumbass with the throttle

You might find yourself getting bored of the 500 after a 6 months. To be honest a beat up SV650 might be a good idea for your first bike because you're likely to drop it somehow.

My CRF already got nicked. I was lucky enough to get it back but now it is chained inside a locked shed with a motion sensor inside in a locked backyard with cameras that detect something larger than 4 feet and send an alarm between certain hours. It takes me 10 minutes to get the bike out and onto the street everyday, but it's worth it. Especially with the CRF, since the insurance company would probably give me 500 bucks for it.

I have a Kawasaki KDX50 that doens't start cold, only warm.

I fiddled with the carb a bit and cut down on the amount of kicks it takes to start it (from 50 to like 20 ish)

When i lean it to the right while it is running, it bogs down and gas starts to come out of the what I'm pretty sure is an overflow line for the carb. When I lean it to the left, it starts to idle higher and run better. When i crank it full throttle a couple of times, trans fluid starts to come out of what I think is an overflow for the engine. I also think I'm finding gas in the oil injection reservoir. It turns a lighter blue and is much harder to see in the reservoir after running for a bit.

What the hell is going on? Do I have a bad compression? Clogged up carb? When it starts, its fine. It's just trying to start it cold. I usually have to hold it full throttle to get it go through enough combustion cycles so it can idle on its own. once it warms up, it's totally fine.

Haf a nap, gonna go check if my parcel is still there...

are you sure its not air filter oil running out of the over flow for your airbox?

at the very least you're going to have to replace every gasket on the bike and most likely have to adjust the valves. Probably rebuild your carbs cause it sounds like your floats are getting stuck, hence the gas leak

Most of the carb issues I've hard is from varnish building up in the jets. A pain in the ass, but easy to take care of. Find stuck parts in the carb, now that super blows.

I was putting together a list of parts to order. So far I'm just getting a rear axle. I'm trying to spend less than 200 bucks on the bike, a maximum of 350.

Of course not? Even if you were drag racing you would still need the bars to move so you could balance the bike at low speed. Once it gets up to speed you would still want steering control since if the bike began to lean to one side for whatever reason you would have no way of stopping it going down. Besides maybe counter leaning but there's only so much that can help.
