As I can see there your force feedback is very low, go and set up that properly so you can actually feel your car. This is very important since drifting is all about balance and since you're not actually inside the car the only way you're gonna feel the forces is through your steering wheel. Clean, full, install. I explained it a few threads so I'm sorry if you already read and provided advice because I couldn't get it to work... anyway:
Wheel doesn't work properly, degrees of rotation doesn't match, or when it does match it gets fucked after a bit of driving.
Clutch and brake for some reason refuse to work, I load them again and again but still give me shit, especially bad because I can't shift properly and it breaks the engine.
I tried real force, LeoFFB, vanilla with adjustments.
Maybe I'll do a lite install and try again from there. Anyway, I might get it to work just before the race.

But there's bound to be shortcomings, or corners cut here and there.
I don't know how close the demo run they did is to the release version, but you could already notice a few things were off.

It might be easier to learn to drift with a different car. There's a Volvo 240 Drift mod for AC out there that you can initiate a drift in with just the gas. It drives beautifully. Try that one.

Penalty for my lack of awareness is slowly coming to the end, current OVG Dirt Rally event will end in three days. People sulked about my glorious concept of repairless races, so this time i'll try to approach it from different side:

Next Dirt Rally event, starting in three days from now, will last only for a week, but it'll also contain just four stages (and repair zone) so anyone can finish it. I'll probably adjust them to be longer in next events, for now i'd like to check how many people will find a moment to finish it through one week.

First week will be about Group A in Wales, second week is 60's in Finland.

You mean tires? There are generally 3 compounds: hard, medium, soft. Theres also wet tires too. Soft tires degrade faster than hard, etc.

If you're a beginner, you can tell tire degradation if your game has a "tire wear" widget in the HUD. When you get better, you'll be able to discern when the car starts to lose grip and requires a pit stop for a new set.

A friend of mine has a T500 with about 1000h of use (4 yo).
It's got a bit softer, not much though. The clutch hall sensor had to be cleaned, somehow it was "jumpy" with its readings. However, he replaced the stock cooling fans with a pair of bigger ones (and quiter, too) because with long races (>1h) it started overheating with the consequent cut in FFB force. Not too bad.
My G27 lasted a lot less, only a couple of years, the motors were burned even though I added a fan and the support of the wheel shaft broke, in fact it's cheap plastic, the only bearing is not enough. The Fanatec GT3 has got good plastic for that support, too bad I broke it after only a couple of months trying to mod it (was a used one). Moreover I had to spray the potentiometers of the G27 frequently.

Most people here seem to be unable to live without FFB, while for me it's a luxury I have yet to experience so I can't be missing an experience I have yet to have.
Is the quality of the GT wheel just so far much better that it's worth the hassle of higher price, getting it, dealing with it taking up space on the table.

Except the comparison wheel (At least that is the sales pitch) The magnetic sensor type doesn't wear out since it has no mechanical component to it's sensor. It's also more ergonomic, you can just remove the wheel in 1 second from the base and tuck the base under the table when it's in that configuration.
So the time it takes to set up, or clear the table would be about 5 seconds.
