Why does everyone care about all these track times and stuff when they'll likely never push their car like that anyway? Seems a little silly. Like my car has an LS2 and I've never pushed it's limits or even come close, I always back off before then because I'd rather not die. What's with everyone thinking they need the absolute best? Just get something with more power than you'll use and something that you think looks good and you enjoy and have fun with it.
Because teenagers.

Bad drivers take comfort in the fact that their car can outperform other cars, on paper. That way they don't actually have to do any of the driving or actually learn anything.
In other words S2000 and Camaro owners.
