I've been hesistant to do big stuff myself because I use my car 7 nights a week for work. Big jobs are out of the question for now.

The deepest im willing to go is changing fluids, filters, bulbs and some electronics etc just due to time constraints of needing my car at a specific time.
on top of this are there any mechanics who are ok with you doing some stuff yourself? had car serviced recently and told him not to bother with bulbs because i do them myself.

He had this look like "why'd the fuck you come and get it serviced then" and kept questioning me about being sure about it. It was really odd.
