-1995 BMW 740il in Calypso Red (rare color for an E38) Was my father's old car that he bought new, passed down to me in 2008 when I started driving on my permit. Sold in 2010 and a year later I got news it had been totalled.
-2010 Infiniti G37. Bought new in 2010. Drove it until early 2015.
-2013 BMW M3 Coupe ZCP. Purchased early 2015, been driving that since.

At some point I'd like to get a classic 911 and do a Singer aesthetic treatment to it. Wide fenders, big Fuchs wheels; no stancenation shit though.

My dad has a second E38, a 2000 750il that has been sitting for some time because it needs some repairs. Before I buy any other cars, the E38 needs to be fixed. The goal would be to leave it essentially stock, but clean it up real well and do a nice exhaust, pic related. Already have the M parallel wheels since it was a sport package car.

3. The Skyline was the biggest financial mistake in my life but I'm too much of a 12 year old who's fallen in love to sell it so now it chills in my garage, unregistered.

I bought the Suzuki to have a cheap car to get me from A to B wothout ruining me financially. It's been a real tough and loyal little car but I died a little everytime a climbed in.

Eventually I did some maths and discovered that a Miata is just as expensive in running costs so I went ahead and bought the first best Miata like the idiot I am. Of course I didn't notice how shitty the car was over all the bullshit the preowner told me, selling it as a mechanically mint conditioned car.

I have a mechanicly gifted friend who'll help me give the car the love it dereves to free it from rust and make it fit again but first I need to sell the Suzuki and somehow get to money to work on the MX5 because I've thrown it all out on three cars.

3. If everything goes well I'll be having a well paying job in September. I'll be driving the Miata as a daily and the Skyline as a "weekend car". At some point though I'll probably pass on the Mazda and get a sensible estate as a daily. I thought of a Nissan Primera P12.

i wouldnt say i flip cars, but i rarely lose money on one. i just buy stuff when i find a good deal (usually i buy stuff that needs fixed) and ill drive it until i get bored or want something else and sell it. its also pretty cheap to own a car here. the most ive had was 8 at one time and my insurance was around $320/month and each vehicle might cost ~$200/yr for registration etc and we dont get taxed yearly on them or anything like that

Used cars are dirt cheap in America and it costs next to nothing to own them. Older cars are like $50 every two years for license tabs in my state. Emissions testing costs $15 extra if your car requires it (none of mine do). Insurance goes up a bit but it's not a big deal. There's no reason not to own multiple cars if you've got the space. I try to keep at least two running cars around at all times so I can work on them without having to worry about getting to work the next day.
