why are lightbars a thing
>>14965835
Because people like things you don't like.
For lighting
Because good lighting is the most relaxing thing when driving at night

>driving a Mitsubishi
Because when you drive in backroads or rural areas, they're pretty great.

It has not been the best car, although it has no major flaws as such
Its a huge improvement over the previous gen., 2.2 diesel has plenty of power for its size and weight, AWD works fine, DAB+, and it was decently priced
Still, as I said; not issue free. The sensor that detects objects and does emergency braking/automatic cruising distance tends to knock out on longer drives, the stereo/media unit kept resetting due to a software bug, some paint flaked off and now one of the gas shocks for the rear hatch has gone out
>>14965835
Because people are attention whoring assholes.

They're good for offroad lighting, anyone who uses them on road and around people is a cunt.
That said, I wouldn't mind putting mini ones in my reverse lights with a toggle switch to freak out people who tailgate.

but most people only use them when their camping or off-roading. I've never seen someone with a lightbar use them on the street
>>14965835
Because being able to see where you are going is important..
>>14966957
no, most people pretend they are for camping or off-roading, and exclusively use them on the street
>>14966957
Always used on the street around here.
The more crowded, the better.
Our population is white trash and imported oil trash from other states, though...so I don't know what I expected.
Because mommy and daddy gave me the credit card when I went off to uni. The wrangler is getting new tires next week

It's illegal to have them on in Colorado on roads. Could be the case in other states.
