Were bikes with these fairings ever available in the US?
Looking around all I've ever seen is the naked or big rounded sport fairings models.

Hey, /dbt/.

I just got my hands on what seems to be a Yamaha YZ60. I got the liquids for it and everything, but I'm a little confused and I can't seem to find the service manual for it online (for free because I'm very broke at the moment.)

Where the hell does the battery go? And how do I measure out the mixture ratio for the fuel and 2-cycle oil? This is my first two stroke.

Whats with removing everything from the OP?
Stop doing that, its not going to catch on and you are a shit person for trying to fix something that wasnt broken.

Got my license last year but I'm too autistic to go out and start looking for bikes mostly because I know nothing about bikes and have no friends who are into bikes. How much do gsxrs usually go for? Keep seing 07-08 with 8k-10k go for 5.5k-6k is this normal? Never bought anything from private sellers so don't know how the whole transfering title and any of that works either, please help. I can't test ride the bike because I don't feel comfortable test riding a 600cc, how do you guys buy your bikes from private sellers? Someone explain the process to me please.

you can do it within like 1-3 hours if you've got shit together easily and don't care about paying msrp + ttl. anyways not much talking down on brand new bikes. previous model years usual get a rebate

Torque, moment, or moment of force (see the terminology below) is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis,[1] fulcrum, or pivot. Just as a force is a push or a pull, a torque can be thought of as a twist to an object. Mathematically, torque is defined as the cross product of the position vector of the point where the force is applied (distance vector) and the force vector, which tends to produce rotation.

Well, that explains it...

I think a problem is the ABS system is designed for different wheel sizes. So it expects the front to be turning slower than the rear (because of the difference in wheel size) but it isn't because you swapped 17"s onto both so it just shuts off.

the implication is that engines that rev well are better in high performance applications.

Such as a V4, which does not produce a significantly different powerband or capacity to rev to an inline 4.

I've finished all the electrical work. Front brakes and what not are all done too and the engine starts (fairly) consistently. There's a fueling issue (main jets seem clogged) but that's later.

At the moment the rear brake alternates between dragging and being stuck on. What do you guys think is the best way to approach it?

I was thinking of taking the plunger apart and see if I can release the pressure that way. The rear brake switch wasn't working because of stupid issue so hoping this is too.

Ideally I don't want to take the caliper off since it's a pain in the ass to get in and out on an MC22.

I don't know what the fuck I'd do without Modafinil basically. It's apparently $200-400 a month so I'm glad I'm not paying for it.

I can stumble through sentences without it (slowly) but I end up getting headaches really quickly if I force it. I tend to just not talk if I run out of Modafinil or there's a delay in getting a new lot sent out.

Other stuff is mainly for pain, but I take a pill at night too or I have nightmares about cars running into me, dying, riding off cliffs, etc.

Been talking to doctors about maybe trying Methylphenidate and/or Piracetam as well.

On the flip side, I've had plenty of time to work on the bike with relatively low stress, so it's not all bad.

Racetams are wonderful. If you're receptive to Piracetam and take choline along with it you can have a very noticeable impact in about an hour as soon as it hits your blood stream. The very slight euphoria you get from taking that first drink after being stone sober combined with that magical level of mental clarity where words just string together. I always thought I worked better and spoke better after a couple drinks, and Piracetam does the same thing for me.
There are no CNS suppressing effects so you don't feel anything similar to being intoxicated, its just like life is a tiny bit fluffier and nice.

It's awkward to get in Australia. A script is required but it's not actually sold here so doctors don't see any reason to give a script.

I mainly wanted to try it because it seems like it'd synergize well with Modafinil.

I've been relatively lucky in that I don't get any sedation from benzos, Z-Drugs, or opioids. Has made things a lot smoother. Only issue I've had is I don't have a sense of hunger since the accident and lost a ton of weight because I kept forgetting to eat (I go faster though now amirite?). Because it doesn't help my cognitive function or pain. One of the strains (I forget which is which) gives me panic attacks now as well.

I was also on IV Fentanyl and Hydromorphone for awhile. I was never a big fan of marijuana anyway but it's complete garbage in comparison to those evil drugs.

Prescription. So a pharmacy. It's an S4 in Australia not an S9.

>I've been scoping out some clear-web sites but they all look like a very good way to pay money for something you'll never receive
The websites are probably reliable but the brand will probably be something like ModAlert not Modavigil (as it's sold as in Australia). ModAlert is an XR variant (to dodgy around patenting laws) which is stupid for a drug that stays in your system for fifteen hours anyway.

Keep in mind a sixty pack is about $190. I take two a day. If you don't have health insurance it's expensive. It's only PBS for Narcolepsy.

>didn't think I could lean the bike aggressively enough to make the corner
>aggressively

You tend to go where you are looking on a bike, if you look at the edge of the road generally you will go toward it.

>I also found a video of a guy riding into a guardrail on his GSXR for no reason when taking a hairpin on the outside at 5mph.

It's why I always say practice low speed.

Low speed informs high speed.
>>
>>14905889
That rear tyre still annoys me. why even buy a sport tyre if you dont lean the bike onto the slick/softer part of the tyre..?
>>
>>14905885
it's not about the bike. it's about the rider. People go out with no practice and just ride off the road like I was referring to. This guy has a link to the video >>14905889

You see he wasn't on a fast bike or even entering the corner too fast. He just had no idea what he was doing and went full retard.
>>
>>14905900
Hes a redditor.
>>
>>14905900
what annoys me is when people slap sport bike wheels and tires onto a dirt bike for "superior supermoto handling" and still have tires looking like that.
>>
>>14905898
Some people are just bad at estimating a maximum corner speed and don't realise they are not anywhere near it, 99% of people never get close to actually riding through a corner at 100% on the street and the ones that do normally don't last very long.
>>
>>14905902
Oh, well that's on the person not the bike.

He was asking if a KLR is a good beginner bike, and it is. You can't make a lot of mistakes on a KLR like you could on a supersport if you're just starting out. I mean yeah, you can ride off the road with no experience, but you can do that on any bike if you don't know how to ride.
>>
/dbt/ do you guys reckon bike handling skills learned from riding a scooter translate to motorcycles? I definitely think they do but my mate reckons not

Obviously motorcycles weigh more however the techniques involved in turning and handling the bike are mostly the same in my mind.
>>
>>14905889
I think I'd have to commit sudoku if I ever did that.

There's not even any excuse.
>>
>>14905937
Not really. About the same as a bicycle.

>Fuuck, I thought my meniscus tear was bad. A tear in a muscle you use almost every waking second of the day. damn.
I try not to compare injuries, any muscle tear is shit man.

Main frustration for me is it didn't heal properly or something so without physio and Valium it fucking hurts still.

>>14905879
Car didn't give way at a T-junction and drove into me. I went head first into a gutter instead of sliding.

Funfact: The guy left me on the side of the road then tried to claim I was at fault. His insurance company refused to defend him in court two months later. I'm suing him for damages now.

>>14905937
>/dbt/ do you guys reckon bike handling skills learned from riding a scooter translate to motorcycles?
Basically not at all.
Source: I ride this thing for a living.
>>
>>14905933
Yes, I agree the KLR is a great bike for beginners and problems come from the rider more than the bike. The reason I brought that up was to debate >>14905863
>>On road it's pretty idiot proof
When you can still do stupid shit on the road on a KLR or any bike.
>>
>>14905937
Even fundamental skills you learn on a bicycle can be slightly transferred to motorcycle skills. Things like balancing, steering, and handling of two wheels. It doesn't equate to actually getting on a motorcycle and riding it, that's the only way you'll learn good skills for motorcycle riding, but still some things you carry over from riding bicycles and scooters you can use for a motorcycle.
>>
>>14905889
Why would you have a moto vlog if you ride like a retard like that?
>>
>>14905889
What the fuck? That wasn't even a sharp turn.
>>

What is your job? Mailman?
>>
>>14905961
I'm pretty sure a six year old on a bicycle could take that curve at a higher speed with less issue.

it's quite clear motovlogs are what motivated him to ride, ie the idea of being a youtube meme man was probably more exciting than the idea of learning how to actually ride a motorcycle to him.

As of that video he had 1000 miles on that ninja 300.

He had made 10 videos.

Every 100 miles since he started riding he was making a video.

>Crash on gentle curve

fuck sport tyres, why own a sport bike if you're not gonna lean it?

If I only rode around in the city doing bullshit there is no way I'd own a bike with clip ons.

it rather reinforces my point again about "nobike" as some kind of response to an argument you disagree with, that dude on the ninja 300 has a bike.

Would you care about anything he has to say about how to ride a bike? I wouldn't.
