This.
Like the V70 with 5 cyl turbo, over 300hp AWD
>>
I'm in SoCal if that makes any difference for general availability.

There are lots of volvos here, but hardly any V70Rs, which I heard is the only one worth getting. Does the V70 have shitty handling? I heard it turns like a boat, and I'm currently commuting on an SV650 so while I'm down with slow and safe, I'd still like to be able to maneuver.

I get the same feeling about the V70R with the 04 Forester XT, like that's the only trim worth getting. Trouble is it's pretty hard to find either of those in working condish with titulo limpio for < 5k.
>>
volvo 700/900 with a turbo 4. Avoid the straight 6 if you can. Its fine, but not as durable as the 4 cylinders.

Forester isn't a wagon. It's a crossover. Older outbacks are wagons.

Main differences between the two? Sorry, it's my first car and I've been motorcycle only for the past two and a half years.

I just need something with air conditioning, a rearview mirror, enough space to move to college, and seats that I can fold down so I can lay down blankets. 6'2" so small cars make me uncomfortable.

Also something I could take camping or on the beach or in the snow, I saw a Suzuki SX4 Sport Edition for about 5k. They make bulletproof motorcycles, how are their cars?

This. Preferably V6 or 2.3T 2004 and onward. Aeros are the best but are quite hard to find. Beware of original rear suspension if it hasn't been changed in a while, make good use of camber shims to avoid tire cupping, they're available from eeuroparts for not very much. Automatics are usually quicker in HOTs, manual box gets a bit more zip out of LPTs.

You can typically find a good one for pretty damn cheap because of steep Saab depreciation.
>>
You can buy a Saab 9-2x which is literally a rebadged wrx for 5g or under

the v70R is nice, but any of the T5 whiteblocks are good enough. I'm not really a fan of Haldex AWD either.

>do v70/850s have bad handling?
turning radius of about 30', not terrible, and better than later volvos.
