I've only been riding for a few months. I feel like I'm ready to take on a passenger.

I don't want to take my girlfriend - she thinks I'm already an elite experienced rider and I don't want her to think I have no idea what I'm doing with her on the bike. I've been putting off riding with her because I haven't "found the right helmet for her," yet. I want to look like a pro, not some inexperienced first timer. Also I rather like her, so I don't want to fuck up and risk breaking or damaging her.

How do I get a passenger to practice riding? Most of my women friends probably wouldn't trust their lives to me on a bike, and I don't have much family that's the right size.

I was jump starting my 1991 VFR750F. I when I hit the starter while my pickup truck was running, there was an immediate pop. Bike won't turn on.

I checked the R/R and fuses and nothing is burnt or popped.

Can a starter relay pop? The sound came from the middle of the bike right where the starter relay is.

It will probably be fine for you since you are a first timer, but I grew up riding dirt bikes and the nighthawk just felt too weak. Good luck with the bike though I'm sure you'll have fun.
