Fun Insurance Claims

One of the worse scratches/dents from the ladder falling on it, after I cleaned it.

>slowly approach drivers door, she a chick with purple hair sleeping
>think it's a drunk driver, peek a little further and tap on the glass

>he's sees me and jumps out of the car

>look at car, drivers door and quarter panel have dents and scratches all down the side

>MFW they owner of the car wasn't in the car
>the owner of the car didn't have them as drivers despite living with them
>MFW accident isn't covered by their insurance
>MFW I'm still dealing with this shit 5 months after it happened

And that's the story of how I got into an accident in my own driveway.

I have full coverage, but it took 4 and a half months for the vehicle owner's insurance to deny my claim and now that I have to go through my insurance I have to pay the deductible, which I can cover but it's still annoying. I should get the deductible back at some point, but it probably won't be for like a year.

>minding my own beeswax
>in the blink of an eye, my hood latch fails sending my hood sailing into my windshield

>quickly slow down to 25mph
>looking for a neighborhood to turn on through the bottom 1/4 inch of the windshield
>hard as fuck to see the road
>finally find a neighborhood, pull over
>take my hood off of the windshield
>ffs my windshield is cracked
>call insurance company 3 times, a tow truck never showed up
>at this point I've been waiting 2 hours in the cold
>call them a 4th time and tell them to fuck off I'm driving home
>have a buddy follow me home going 20 the whole way

Of course my only day off was that next day, so I went to the local pick and pull and got a hood from a blazer.

Oh well. Now that it's warm I'm going to get a new windshield soon

>other car is fucking totalled, has to get towed because they disconnected their drive axle

>Go through my insurance to make a claim on the other driver (great idea in hindsight)
>Other insurance basically says I'm 15% at fault for not honking my horn in the .125 seconds it took for the other car to hit me

Police arrive.

starts claiming we all left him and tries to claim hit and run
uhhh what were all here we havent moved.

>saying i was at fault for everyones accident because my car pushed everyones car into each other
uh no everyone smashed into each other first i just brought up the rear with a cracked bumper and a hood that wont close correctly
>estimator comes out 1151$ in damage to my civic
>insurance wants me to pay deductile which is 550$

The kid literally went 40mph into the back of me
Smashed the fuck out of his car, mine was scuffed up
Tries to say I pulled in front of him with out indicating
Tell his insurance that he's lying and he flew into the back of me
Insurance agent says,"I can't call my client a liar"

i took off my bumper to observe more damage and my front crash beam which is a solid beam of steel or something was smashed inwards it completely absorbed the crash and it is replaceable but i just said fuck it
