Ever be cruising down the highway and have a race break out?
>Driving home from work in my pic related, long drive
>pumpin some eurobeat, cruising along
>see a red 2015 86, haven't seen one up close >pull up next to them and check it out a bit
>get my fill and get on my way, pass some jeep on the right because I'm a jerk and the lane is clear
>doing 80 in the right, 86 comes around the left going pretty good
>fuck it, follow him
>jeep from earlier comes barreling up next to up near us on a steep uphill, we both step on it
>some champagne is300 with a wing comes out of nowhere after we pass a group of cars
>spend the next 5 miles cruising around cars, all of us maintaining about 100 ish, pass each other occasionally
>still have eurobeat playing, song I like comes on, crank it up and step it up a little
>one by one we grow up and take our exits
Nothing super intense, but a lot of fun.
New Challengers (not car, a player in a game) tend to show up out of nowhere when automotive shenanigans are afoot.
>Ever be cruising down the highway and have a race break out?
almost every single day
i live near a private country club race track in the north georgia mountains so i see all sorts of interesting cars all over the place and they are almost always looking for a race

That's so cool! I've been happy lately just to see people taking the mountains roads extra fast. I have a nice 6 mile stretch that is mostly 15-25mph turns through the woods. It's great fun when it's clear. Get a lot of kids hitting it hard now that it's nice out.

That is300 was probably me bud.

78 Westbound, 545p?
Not a race really but I've been flying along on a long drive and had someone latch onto me and we end up trading positions for awhile. Most amusing to me was me in my black Challenger with a guy in a white one and we were keeping it around 100mph for a couple hours. When I finally pulled off he flashed his lights and kept going.

My buddy Takumi drives an 86.

you don't have any friends, doc.
>>14849322
>doc
I raced a minivan in my civic today. We were going up a hill so they won.
>>14847807
>driving home from mates house at 2am, basically 45 mins of main roads through suburbia
>get to the last 20-min stretch, doing 80km/h in a 60
>some new hilux turns on behind me and catches up
>ends up overtaking and cruising at 90-100 (very easy to do, road was smooth, good visibility and soft corners
>I just keep up with him for 20 mins and we're both just cruising along, relaxed
>listening to shoegaze
>ultra comfy
not really racing, just speeding together calmly
>>14849399
that's fun too. I live in an area with lots of 6 and 8 lane highways. cruising around and night with some randoms is super comfy.

Yes,sometimes on I-5 I have random cars pull up next to my C10,like they wanna admire it,then it turns into a race.First time went like this
>cruising up to Oregon one evening, happy as can be
>this red Audi pulls up,Audis are rare here so it sticks out.
>he stays behind me,tailing for a mile then pulls up and flashes his headlights
>suddenly,I realize this is now a race and hope the 327 can take it
>smooth sailing for a mile,he stays ahead weaving in and out of the sparse traffic
>hit 70 by now,he must be going 80
>White 90's Ford pulls out in front of him,he merges into the next lane
>pray my overdrive works this time, put the gas pedal down more and pass him
>by now,he's a ways behind me and it's over.
Dunno what scared that Audi off, first time I got to put that '67 through it's paces and it was fun.
>2009, gas $4 a gallon
>cruisin in FC on 90 going eastbound near Chiraq
>CRX shows up
>"Huh... easy kill..."
>downshift to 3rd and punch it
>CRX flies past no mercy
>sadface
i really had to take a shit on the way home and a guy in a camaro ss tried racing me
>mfw he passed me eventually as I pulled into taco bell to take a shit
All the time. Unfortunately, 4cyl aren't built for straight lines. Luckily, half the time it's a civic or a golf so I can keep up or win. BUT, you have to have balls to speed on I-275 so usually everyone sticks around 100mph.
Green text time:
>7:15am Monday morning on my way home from work
>cruising, Architects to keep me awake
>Suddenly Infiniti QX series out of no where
>Hauling dicks
>"welp looks like it's follow the leader time"
>Some jacked up coal rolling doge 2500, early 2000's joins in
>All hit 115mph down this hill leading to the bridge
>Proud of my bees nest 4cyl for keeping up the whole time
>Come up over blind hill
>black charger parked on emergency turn around strip
>OH FUCK
>Disco_Lights.rar
>Everyone peels off; I take I-471 exit
>Doge goes for exit to side streets little ways up
>Lose the Infinity
>No more disco lights
>THANK GOD
>Eat a granola bar and go to sleep when I get home
Still good fun though.

Another shitty story
>gas still $4
>air cold, 3am, 17mpg highway, 12 city
>conditions ideal
>cruisin inner city Chicago before the cameras
>stoplight
>roll up behind TC
>Wangan Midnight Feel the Passion turns up
>rev my wankel
>light turns green
>TC peels out
>"Lets do diiiiissss"
>bust a hard 90 degree turn onto two lane road at should've been understeer speed
>wow TC driver that knows how to turn
>keep following
>reach 90 in a two lane 35 zone
>jump bridge, both cars rally style fly
>TC bust another 90 degree turn at high speed into small neighborhood streets 25 zone
>playing cat and mouse around ~60
>TC slows down. pulls to the curb, rolls down window
>roll up next to TC and drop passenger window
>woman driver
>put on my beta face
>"lol fast car"
>"lol you too"
>drive away
>in my head: WTF, she could of got us killed!
>Driving shitbox out to a friends property at night
>Late model charger next to me
>Never really raced before
>Want to see what my 160hp mommy mobile stacks up to a late model "muscle" car
>It's an SXT trim if that matters
>Drop it into 3rd
>Tease him by giving it a little gas
>He takes the bait and does the three honks
>Use the last grand and a half of my rev range to get as far away as possible while his slushbox auto trans plays catch up
>Have car and a half length
>He ends up calling it when his bumper is parallel to my driver door
>Do this four more times
>Win 2
>Lose 2
>Had a good time, just glad to be there, etc
>Know I only won the couple because dodge auto trans are garbage
Only time it's ever happened to me.
