We unloaded a Cummins diesel block from my pickup by threading some head bolts in and hooking chains to them. Lifted it right out.

Many direct injecting diesels use a Heron head with the combustion chamber in the piston crown.

Not frequently used in petrol applications as the volumetric efficiency is generally lower than a pentroof or kidney chambered head.
