Why must Germans be so German?
All I was doing was replacing this bezel and knob.
Now my light switch works in reverse and the fog lights stopped coming on.
Mein Kampf I guess.
You want to talk about german build quality? Fine, lets talk about some fucking german build quality

Yes
>>14840879
lolwat
did u just pull this out of the river?
>>14840879
>mercedes
I believe there was a disclaimer "after the warranty expires, crush it and buy a new one xoxo Garl"
>>14840879
Mercedes did alot of weird shit in the 90's and early 00's.
>>14840863
It's called VAG build quality. My old 2003 A4's light switch(that looks the same as yours) was just as fucked.
Also my current E46 panels are pretty fucked because of female previous owner, only 111k miles but the interior looks worse than my old 240k mile E46.
>>14840917
>13 year old car
>lel VAG is so shit
>>14840917
Mine is an '04 A6, and I've already replaced a lot of buttons and whatnot.
It's like everything just started rubbing off of the plastic. Luckily this was my last piece other than the nave control which im having a hard time finding.

*nav
>>14840932
You missed the point. VAG interiors, especially knobs and buttons seem to wear out more quickly than other cars (probably because of the soft touch plastic). My mates 6 year old Audi A4 is staring to show similar problems.
Pic related, its kinda what my ac controls looked like
>>14840972
I actually found a pic of my cars actual interior. If you look closely you can see the radio buttons and the light switch worn out
>>14840987
meanwhile my 2004 Merc shows no interior wear at all. Actual pic.
>>14840972
Do you and your friend have really sweaty and fat hands? Because I have literally never had this happen to any of my Audis
>>14840972
Then why is my dad's '96 Passat still perfectly fine?
>>14840998
Actually the buttons looked kinda like that already when I bought the car
>>14841009
My dad has had his 2006 A4 for 220 000km now, and the interior looks untouched not even kidding.
>>14840972
my 98 b5 a4 has maintained a perfect interior besides the leather seats ripping
>>14840972
Fucking disgusting.
The climate control on a A6 at my local U-Pull-It looks better than that.
I just had to replace the temp change buttons.
>>14840972
>>14840987
Just took this. As you can see om the temp buttons , they're worn off.
>>14840972
what is VAG?
>>14841354
Volkswagen Auto Group
Audi
VW
90 shithole-only marques that are the same exact thing
>>14841366
So it's just like they all just use the same interior pieces like DSM's or something?
I'm sort of confused
>>14841068
Yeah my temp buttons were worn out as well.
>>14841354
>>14841366
VAG is Audi, VW, Skoda, Porsche, Seat, Bugatti, Lamborghini and i'm pretty sure i am missing some more brands.
They often share the same platforms, engines, chassis and interior parts, to save money.
What's kinda funny - they use the same light switches and other interior buttons in the 2 million $ Bugatti, in the $170k Porsche Cayenne and in the $15k Skoda or a VW Golf.
