You are just outside of their current demographic, in a place where they do not have that large a market anymore.

But that's the point. Having car enthusiasts as your target market is the best way to bankrupt yourself quickly. especially for a company as large as Toyota that has huge functionning costs.
Car enthusiasts as a demographic cannot bring that much money in. They buy a car every now and then and yes the car is expensive, but after that a lot of them will andle at least parts of the maintenance themselves, whereas selling an econobox to the average joe is much more profitable since he will not know how to take proper care of it, will come to you for maintenance (or to a third party that will require your help because you are an ass when it comes to getting spare parts) and will change it soon because he either rammed it into somethign or didn't maintin it properly.
In terms of rentability, they have little to no reason to care about car enthusiasts. It's a possible market either for large luxury or sport cars makers or very small one.

Nissans are good cars, just about as ugly as can be. Not even striking ugly, just bloated bland ugly. Make the cars crisp and sporting and I think they would do well. Brand themselves as the sporty Japanese car make and bump out their warranty to deal with the perception that they are the least reliable japenese make. Maybe also combine a few delears with Renault but only high end ones to give Nissan a bit of Euro fancy feeling.

I'd tell renault to go fuck themselves and immediately ban every V6 on the production cars outside of the VR38 and VQ37

Everything they do can be achieved with a direct injection I4, anything you want more power for you either make an I6 or use a V8.

86/MX-5 competitor in the S16 silvia (I4T, rwd, no hybrid shit)
Release an all-electric maxima with a good range for a good price
Fix the leaf so it has a decent range and doesn't look like ass
Fix the fucking patrol by giving it a proper turbo diesel like i'm not a complete retard
Start selling the new navara in the US with aggressive fleet shit
Update the 370Z, now comes with a cheaper base model with the same engine used in the S16 but making about 50-70hp more or an optional refreshed V6 with the 355hp nismo engine.

The gtr looks damn fine. Its also very aerodynamic despite its fridge looking form.

They have too much samey shit, need to drop their lineup by about 1/3rd and throw some more shit at Infiniti like Lexus do, get an up-class maxima with a 2.5L direct injection I4T or plug in electric with base model s comparison range, just slower, for less.

Actually, my first car was a maxima. one of those green ones with a spoiler on the back lol. it was quick for what it was, but tranny ended up going out at only like 160k miles.

I never understood the Sentra>Altima>Maxima. One of these cars is unnecessary because if you either downgrade or upgrade one, you're left with the base or premium model of the other.

That, and I think the Maxima should be RWD/AWD like the Infiniti's.

Also, an S16 would be nice.

Maybe a few more Nismo versions of cars for fun.

Other than that, they seem very successful. No where near "dying".
