I know lots of small business owners who have them because they're such a jack of all trades. Basically it does what people mostly buy trucks for, but doesn't drink so much gas.

The awd ecoboost systems were full of problems

Way too expensive. They are like $40k+ and it has a shitty transverse v6. At that price most go for the Tahoe for v8 and more commanding ride height.

Fuck all the haters, Flexes are badass.

370hp twin turbo v6, AWD, loaded with the goodies.

I looked really hard to get one before I bought my current car. The only downside is Ford didn't sell a lot of Flexes to begin with and finding one with a turbo was a chore. I was also trying to get a car around 20K used and the good Flexes were around 27-30K used.

If you do get one, the acceptable colors are red, blue, or brown with a white roof.

The Flex is an awesome car, I rented one for about a week and loved it. Plenty of pick up, plus the EcoBoost engine is the same as the one in the new Ford GT and the Raptor (3.5L) so it has crazy tunability.

Not to mention they had an optional woody package which sends it over the top for me.
