i wish i had pics from before i sold it. I ended up getting a deal on some decent 15 inch rims, lowered it like 1.5 inches. every bolt on a young ricer could conjure up. I made front a rear strut braces. it handled really well, 0-60 was pretty gr8 but nothing over 70. I had the 7afe tho, neat motor for fuel eco and they turbo decently.

I wish it was at least an IS m8. It's a 316i. But the engine is in pretty good shape so it's not that bad.
Not so mint anymore, previous pic was from September 2015 when I had just bought it... winter, fucking salt and lmaonogarage caused rust to appear in some spots. This pic is from March. I need to remove rust from and repaint side skirts and there's quite a few scratches on the paint all around. I bought a polishing machine thing recently so I'll get to fixing soon.

I present to you, my first shitbox. I got it about a month ago for 600. 98 chevy cavi. 230kmiles, replaced the starter, changed the oil, and yesterday the top end started clicking really bad and it's down a whole bunch of power.

I've never worked on a 4cyl. Most of my work has been done on pushgod v8s. If this was a v8, I'd say rocker needed to be replaced, this i4, I don't know. Going to take off the valve cover and have a looksee tomorrow.

FUUUUUCK! Timing chain just completely broke on the cavi while driving 25 mph in the city. Is now pushing exhaust gases back out the intake. Somehow. Now all 3 of my cars are off the rd. Awesome.

How hard is it to change the timing chain in a 98 cavi 2.2? How many hours? Short run through? Not asking for a step by step, just a general "it's easy dude, just take this and this off, you'll be done in 3 hours" or a "you're fucked, the motor has to come out and completely disassembled and requires $400 in special tools"

Any help/words of encouragement is/are appreciated. Feeling totally fucked. Just paid rent and no extra money right now.

99 TL with 190,000 on the clock. It started out new with my uncle, who sold it to my sister, who sold it to me. It is, essentially, bulletproof save for routine maintenance. I did have to replace the front axle, radiator, and coil packs, but it runs like a top and is surprisingly fast for it's age.
