My bad, guys, OP here.
Strats is at 231 E North Ave, Villa Park, IL right by North Ave and Route 83. From there we'll head out on I290 toward Chinatown (near Archer and Cermak) and get some food. After that we cruise that sweet Lake Shore Drive, possibly stopping for car photos. Plenty of other things to do downtown too.

Hey it's OP again.
To keep people from getting lost, I290 has an exit for Canal Street. Head south on Canal until Cermak, then make a left and Chinatown is like a block or 2 east. There's a parking lot on Archer that I'll try to park at 1st. If it's full then then we can all park in a line on the side street behind the mall area. As far as where to eat, there are a couple places open pretty late. We can decide when we get there.

Afterwards, we can take Canal back up to Roosevelt to get on Lake Shore Drive. There are some decent photo spots along the way if anyone wants to stop.

Also if someone wants to sacrifice their clutch to teach manual, then it could make for some luls.

Definitely. A ton of car shows are just photography exhibits now; I was at a super car meet this morning and it was just cookie cutter Lambos and and Porsches with their cookie cutter rich owners watching people gawk over them from a safe distance in a lawn chair. Much more fun seeing real people with real cars with real character, and a true passion for cars. All of Strat's had some pretty great guys, and /o/ is miraculously less autistic in person than one would expect. I can't wait until the next time we can meet up and show each other our cars as they explode, get pieced together, are tuned, retuned, etc. Great community and great cars are always fun.

I'm suprised the old girl kept up as she did, I thought I'd be falling off the rear. Guess I got more power than I thought. It is that time again! I will be sending out sign up sheets and waivers later this week. Keep in mind the basic rules of the meet.

1. no speeding
2. no drugs or alcohol anywhere near the meet. you will be arrested I can promise.
3. no car handling outside of the meet. upon arrival, deposit your keys, insurance and d/l at the table where we will keep them in locked storage. My mom or aunt will be handling this, and my aunts state police boyfriend will be there as well.
4. when ready to drive, check out you key from the table. If at any point during the meet you speed, drive dangerously or get to the destination faster than possible without speeding my aunt will keep your dl until the state police can ticket you.
5. mostly, have fun and enjoy fellowship!
6. bring food to share. i will be bringing smores supplies (choc, gram crackers, marshmellows)
also I will need emails or mail address (snale mail) for the waivers.
