Are nismo Z's any gud/worth the extra shekels? A stealership near me has a low milliage 07 350 priced at $26k. Tempted to buy it because I really want a Z, but it seems stupid to pay that much for 9 year old car when I can get a new 370 for around $30k. From there I could mod the new base-model Z to my heart's content

Redline shockproof works wonders in gearboxes.

Motul is good oil, can't really go wrong with any of them. Fully synthetic for turbo, but for a KA I'd say any of their oils would be better than most of the other brands.

So I had super low compression and decided to take apart my engine to diagnose the problem, same guy from last thread who was getting fuel and spark but no start. Well I got it apart and noticed some marks on the piston heads from what looks like it hitting the valves. Are they useable or is this engine completely dicked and in need of a noh8v8?

Yeah man, black ceffy? Decent driver. There were a couple of VE's going hard and a mint dark bronzey gold s13 slammed on nice wheels that looked sick.
There was also a primered s13 with blue undercar neons that was going pretty hard, and a mint af black 33 that was killing it too.

Variettas aren't THAT bad looking, they're just ugly in comparison to coupes and unfortunately that's the barometer people measure them against, myself included.
Got some +25mm fenders on the way then gonna put coilovers in the back or lop half a coil off and some sw666 wheels will be going on it with 100mm of dish.
Want a spoiler like pic related but will defs have to modify one from something else, I'm thinking 240/260z as they're a similar width. (1050mm)

18x9 +20 wheels so I needed something wider, +25mm should make them sit super close to flush.
I chose the SLR style as I liked the dual look over a single vent and figured they'd be less prone to flexing and cracking the paint.
Dunno what do do about the back yet though... Hopefully a roll and slight pump will be enough.

I'm looking to buy a hatchback 1988 S12 200SX XE as my second car. It's completely unmodified and pretty clean for its age, but it's got a few minor things to fix and I've got a reservation before I pull the trigger.

From what I've seen and read, S12 200SX's are pretty rare in the States. Is it hard to find parts? Are there any other things I should know?

I have tons of batteries, and as long as I can start this car to make sure it runs, that's not a big problem for me because I'd just need to drive it home.
All S14s have fuel leaks, Id just need to get a new tank from a junkyard or a donor car
Cracked dash isn't a problem, door panels can be replaced
Hopefully I can remove those sideskirts and put new fenders

I'd probably end up pouring $2000 and a few weekends into it, but the bone stock engine really appeals to me.

Let's assume Nissan has decided to make a new tribute to the 300ZX TT. I feel like it never got the attention it deserved because the RX7, Supra, and 3000GT overshadowed it.

It would be a good way to fill the void for people who don't want a 370Z, but can't afford the much-more-expensive GTR. It would also have to be unique enough to not be seen as a competitor to either of those models.

They could call it the 300ZX again, and since the new GT-R is now at 565hp this 400hp 3.0 will fit nicely into the Z slot in the lineup.

All they have to do is keep current Z34 sizing, change the styling as a throwback to the Z32, and keep the pricing at current Z levels.

It's right there ready to happen, and I hope they do make it a reality.

I think current Z pricing would be too low. It'd need to be somewhere in the $50-60k range to avoid competition with the 370Z.

However, being in that price range, it'll need really good suspension and brakes, as well as being lightweight, in order to compete with the Eurocucks in that price range on the track.

I don't think Z34 styling would suit it too well. A back seat would help, as well as a targa top or t-tops for a bit of nostalgia.

The only other issue I can think of is the Q60. Sure, it's under their luxury marque, but everyone knows it's more than that. It could cause some internal competition.
