I know some of yall will get butthurt as fuck about this but plastidip is one of the greatest car related inventions in the past 50 years. Not only does this shit look absolutely stunning, Helen fucking Keller herself could plastidip a car. Not only that but it's cheap as hell. $500 for the paint and materials. Takes about half a day to prep and put on. Lasts for 2 years. Literally protects your paint and you'll be breaking necks all day. Get bored of the color? Peel it off and apply a new one.
Why haven't you dipped your car yet /o/?
Looks like trash in person.
>b but look at this overexposed instagram image!
I like it too. Too practical to not consider. I dont care that people ruined it's name.
>protects your paint
>has never scraped this shit off

Here's a non overexposed pic.

>Try applying more then 2 coats next time.
>>14799491
>scraped
I would never dip my car but if you have to "scrape it off" you're doing something REALLY wrong. I've peeled it off with a friend of mine who dipped his car twice, it wasn't fun but there was no "scraping"

I prefer copenhagen mint, but grizzly wintergreen is ok too when I need a strong kick.
>>14799525
It looks like shit because you know it's not paint in person.

It's practical for cars that aren't Ferraris. If you have the money for that you could just get it painted however you want.

DESU most people will see it from a distance or see you drive by and go "wow"
>>14799633
We have one in that's flat white, gloss black vents, gloss white main stripe with green and white Stradale stripes within them, plastidipped mirrors, and probably some other stuff I am missing, some people don't know when to leave it alone

Most people will drive by and go "wow, look at that Mexican's car"
>>14799653
You can see a dipped car a mile away. It's the car with the bright fancy color yet has a dull shine.

i'm more interested in wraps
dips just looks kinda cheap

When you see either in person you will see that it looks like hot garbage. There is nothing you can do with either process to avoid that. You can always tell what it is.
>>14799726
Wraps are good too. I hear they are a lot more fragile though, no more drive through car wash.

>driving an F40 downtown with the intent to shop
Is he retarded? Am I retarded? This is not my beautiful house.
>>14799726
Also what wheels are those? Those aren't Volks TE37s are they?
>>14799813
Most likely an Arab seeking attention. Ferrari promptly threatened to sue for changing the factory color.
>>14799835
>ever buying ferrari
That shit aggravates me to no end. When they did it to deadmau5 I was okay with it because it looked so ugly but it's really scummy business. They're treating their cars like licensed software.
>>14799813
Yeah it should sit collecting dust for sure, driving them is terrible!
>>14799824
Pretty sure Speedline makes those if they are the same ones I'm thinking of
>>14799857
>hi, i'm the worst tripfag on both /k/ AND /o/!
>I really think dipped sandnigger Ferraris look great, he's just expressing himself! These really belong in an urban setting where they can be vandalized by jealous OWS/Bernie teenagers.
>>14799868
20% of the posts ITT are me saying how bad wraps/plastidip look, seems sure your tantrum isn't very well constructed
>>14799770
anyone who cares enough about their car to wrap it wont be using a drive-through carwash.
>>14799868
Can you not put a clearcoat over a wrap to protect it?
>>14799885
^ this..
>>14799885
It's not just the carwash. It's everyday use. I wrapped my interior and it turned out great but it's beyond super fragile. I'm pretty sure you could cut it with your fingernails if you wanted to. It's not gonna survive everyday use....
I can buy the materials to actually paint a car for $500 as well. At the end of 2 years mine will still look good and yours will look like shit and you will be out of $500 worth of materials.
Eat shit plastidip fag. I understand there's a niche market of teenagers who are too lazy to strip a car down to do a full respray so instead they just plastidip it. It's a cop out. A temporary solution that is far more expensive in the long run.
While I hate plastidip and ricing myself I still think the type that can change based on temperature is sweet, especially if it's not just a different color but some sort of design.

>rob bank
>everyone crowds into the purple van
>avoid the police long enough to get into a car wash
>take off masks and enjoy sweet captain sweden decals hidden under the paint
not sure about how well it works on the body, but I'm not a fan of it on wheels
it starts peeling around the edges over time
it did protect the wheels for the winter though, I'll give it that
>>14800749
Brilliant
>>14799844
i thought thye did it to deadmau5 because he changed the logo on the car, not the colour?
>>14799489
It's is a conjunction of it and is
The possessive form is just "its"
