The car seemed to have a host of little things wrong with it but never really failed on me. Expensive repairs on lots of minor things.

Was funny as fuck cause it was tiny and I'm 6'3". I had to have my seat all the way back. My driving postion was basically in the back of the car. So much so that because I was behind the door pillar you couldn't see me. One time I drove past my dad and he was concerned my car was driving itself kek

Dodge 600es turbo II. A few less horses than the VNT (turbo III) but lighter than Lebarons, unless yours was actually a hard top. There's some yuro ameriboo on here that has the 89 coupe with a 5-speed. I love him to death for finding that car the poor bastard lol.

Now I have an 83 Capri. Just have a soft spot for 4 eyes.

Mine was the hardtop because the convertibles, despite being awesome in the summer, are terrible winter cars and the soft tops start to leak quite easily. Can't be arsed with that shit so I went with the hard top, twice.

Also, check yourself before you wreck yourself, the VNT was the Turbo IV which came BEFORE the Turbo III which had a Lotus designed 16 valve DOHC head and a big fat turbocharger.

1996 Honda Civic DX Hatch

Honestly, this car has to be the best car I've ever owned, gave me very few problems, got it for $2,000 (A lot of Civics are very expensive in southern Florida, don't really know why) with 180k miles, got rid of it at 220k miles with a small lifter tick.

Kinda wish I kept it.

Yeah I lucked out, it wasn't even that old. My parents bought it broken, can't remember what was wrong with it but my dad picked it up and fixed it. He already had a blazer, and my mom had a tempest so they let me have this. It was still in their name, but it was "mine" basically. For some reason neither of them really liked it, but I thought it was the coolest shit.

Had some much worse vehicles later on (intrepid, Malibu, etc). But I'll always remember the green machine as my first vehicle and first taste of freedom.

I got my brother's old Honda Civic LX coupe. This isn't mine, but it looked exactly like it save for a few scrapes, a fucked up rear bumper, and 130k miles under its belt.

It had the non-VTEC D17 and one of the worst slushbox transmissions that Honda ever made (which says a lot), but it was light and nimble. The only things I had done to it were a timing belt and oil pan replacement. Other than that, it's never let me down despite several years of hooning around doing pizza deliveries and long cross-state road trips. I still use it as a beater to this day. I'm considering doing a manual tranny swap once the auto transmission eventually breaks.

A 2005 Toyota Highlander. It was the party wagon in HS.

bought it off some spic who hardly spoke any english when i was 18 for 1100$
had 190k miles when i bought it.
good times in that truck i hauled around my 16 year old qt.314 blonde girlfriend when she was in highschool
was driving it to work one day and my brake master cylinder completely failed or something and lost all brake use doing 50 mph i limped it back home and sold it to the junk yard for 450$ after that it had 201k on it when i sold it. transmission was fucked too.
