well according to /o/ Its a popular car loved by women, "normies", manchildren, rednecks, and whatever other stereotype they may hold.

Its popular like the Miata which already makes it a target. its also an american car which doesn't help either. (although now that its RHD the brits seem to be buying quite a few of them despite the lolcantturn/ameribarge) even in V8 form which surprised me as i thought the War on Displacement was still enacted (maybe it is and they just don't care)

Really liked the last gen though myself as it looked the best overall in my opinion not to mention made a lot of people's anuses bleed because of its horse-carriage BMW performance rivaling suspension.

Not sure about that, but the V6 would make an amazing DD. 300 hp, 30 MPG, supposedly very good handling despite its Oregon Trail-inspired rear axle, and the threat of exploding driveshaft shards to keep you from going over 116.

Probably because it's popular. I dunno about other places, but I've lived around air force bases my whole life and Mustangs are everywhere. I've even heard rumors that enlisted men need to sit through briefings about not blowing their money on a Mustang.
