What are my options if I want a sporty, manual, cheap, reliable vehicle for my DD. Getting out of this fucking loan, getting a cheap car, and getting my life back on track. While I could just choose a manual car less than $5k on Craigslist, I'd like to at least favor my car a little bit. You know?

I'd only want the newer version, based solely on looks. Not a fan of any other mx5. :/

All these are so god damn expensive.

If you're looking at 944-tier reliability, you might be able to find a 2008-2010 135i with the N54 engine (basically a 1M without the badge). The reliability won't be great, but you can get 400rwhp with a downpipe and a tune.

Nah, I need good reliability. I can't be in the shop all the time, I've got shit to do. Also, the 135i's look so odd to me. I love the looks of the mr2, but they are so expensive. I don't want to have to buy a camry for the next 10 years just to save up. );
