A gallon of regular is $2.59 where I work. It's been moving between $2.30 and $2.60 for the last couple weeks. The Chevron down the road sells their gas at $2.79 for a gallon of regular

I pay $2.62 a gal ATM here in Cali.

Here in The Netherlands it's €1.40 / L ~ $5.80 a Gal. Hate it.

its about double in new zealand than USA but we get higher octanes, highest octane is 98 lowest 91

36 local monopoly monies per liter is around $2/gal if my calculator is correct.

I'm no legal expert, but it should be able to be imported, even in a state like california, I've seen people driving replica cars, cars they built themselves, and even vintage cars from europe that are right hand drive with Cali plates on them, you should be able to register it in california if it's over 25yo.
