Mazda3's don't hold their value overly well, get something Toyota. A used Camry or RAV4 will be your best bet, they're reliable, livable DD's with minimal insurance costs. Plus they'll still sell for more than a Mazda3 after a few years.

The interiors on most of those sport-model cars are lame. An STI or an EVO X will have an equally cheap, plastic interior too.

You don't buy the sport model of these vehicles, you buy the GT model. All the comfy without the "le bare minimum sportiness" horeshit.

I used to DD a 2006 Mazda3 GT, interior was fucking top-notch. Everything felt solid, no loose buttons or dials, surfaces showed no wear, looked brand new with a bit of Armorall.

Mazda wins for A E S T H E T I C, but Hondas still tend to be more reliable. It's a shame everyone is going to cuckish CVTs now, my Mazda3 still had a 5 speed MT and it was so chunky and solid. Honda manuals feel light and airy, I have no confidence that they're ever really in gear.
