I don't think it would be too hard to have a kind of pre-test assessment to see what tier of motorcycle a rider would be safe on, and then they take a test and are assigned an appropriate restriction.

Really though I just wish I didn't have to pay £500 for lessons and a test because some fuckers think you can redline a bike and dump the clutch and it'll all be fine.

I honestly doubt you'd be able to get a Ninjette into the 9's with the original engine.

I don't reckon you'd be able to get more than 80hp out of the stock engine (let alone reliably), and you're probably going to need double that to get anywhere near the 9's.

Not to mention you would need to do something about the Ninjette's drivetrain if you did somehow manage to get 160-odd hp out of the engine. Stripping gears or snapping chains or frying clutches meant for a 30hp commuter bike would get expensive real fast.

You'd need a big drag slick on the back to get any sort of traction, and then probably an extended swingarm to stop the thing thing flipping over every time you hit boost.

You'd probably need to address rigidity/strength issues as well, because I imagine all the hard launches with a drag slick on the back would do wonders for the Ninjette's frame.

And then once you've done all that you've got an unreliable can't-turn drag bike that's useless on the street and can't do any of the things a Ninjette is good at.

tl;dr no, and even if you could it would cost a lot more than $10k to end up something that doesn't explode itself to pieces every time you try to ride it in anger
