I would say don't get the heavier duty ones, like the f250, 2500, and whatever the silverado equivalent is, those are for towing and past 400 hp you really aren't gaining anything, not to mention in my opinion they don't look as good as the "lowest class towing" like the F150, 1500, silverado.

Would buy a nice, very clean F250 1996 instead of anything new with a zf5 transmission, 4.10 gearing, 4x4. Install a custom interior and add noise insulation.

Install a Gear Vendor overdrive and a beefier clutch (mileage, more gears for zf5).
