I can't ride it because I need A2 license, which I can't do until July. It's broken because I need to replace the rectifier/regulator (which I picked up a few minutes ago) and I need to rebuild the seat brackets. Also my spark plug caps don't match so I have to change the front ones, but they're not broken.

Sup /dbt/ I need help choosing a new bike. I've narrowed it down to either the FJ09 or an R6.

My Katana 600 that I've had for 4 years and pretty much had as my only form of transportation for most of that has finally died.

I know they are two completely different bikes for different things, but I'm sure you can use the R6 to commute without too much discomfort and then have fun on the weekends. At the same time the FJ09 seems like the smarter choice.

TLDR; Im a faggot and cant choose a baiku halp.

The DRZ really isn't that slow once you get rid of all the emissions bs. IIRC the off-road only DRZ was more powerful than the 400EXC and far more powerful than the XR400. However it is still limited by the transmission and weight.

The guy I bought the bike from was uncannily close to that guy, just a little more fat. I swear he said some of the same shit, except he put a vance and hines on it and thought it was the coolest shit.

I got the bike for 800 bucks, it had 30k miles and I rode it till it died near 50k on it. I never even did any major work to it, the only parts I ever changed was the chain, and tires. Near the end I had to start it with starter fluid every time or else it wouldnt start, and im pretty sure for a good amount of time it was only running on 2 1/2 cylinders.

Cost to performance for both. But the FJ because I enjoyed the way it looked, and people said it was comfy yet had some pep to its step. For the R6 I've always wanted one, and its pretty much in the same price range as the FJ, so its kind of hard to not get the bike you've wanted for years.

Something really weird just happened:
I was in 5th gear at around 100 kmh, opened up the throttle about halfway, and for about 1 second, everything went well. Then, the bike just suddenly lost power. I was slowing down, pushing the starter button did nothing, and I had to coast to a parking lot about 200 m.

Then, when I tried to start the bike again, only the starter turned over. The bike didn't start, no matter how i put the choke. The I decided to bump start it, and it worked.

I then rode home (only about 1 kilometre), and after about 500 metres, the tank appeared to be empty. I put the petcock on reserve, and the bike started no problem. Then, I went to fill the bike up, and everything worked just fine again.

Fucking carbs, I'm telling y'all.
