What? My 2015 Jetta 1.8t only needed half a quart at 6K miles on the factory oil. And thats probably only because the car was new.

It certainly doesnt burn oil and id assume it wont need any top off for the next 5-6K miles.

Who cares? He has a new car and gets a new one every 3 years with a lower payment than financing. The trade off only being he doesn't "own" it. Not everyone owns the same car for 5+ years. Unless they're poor or not into cars

my point exactly. leases are for short-sighted people with no regard for their financial future. 20 years to a person with a leasing mentality is 10 lifetimes away for all they're concerned.

and fyi yeah the pic stops after 20 years, but its pretty easy to see that at any point after 6 years you'll be ahead.
