Very nice Jaguar, OP
Is that just a rebaged Taurus?

I think they look good. Its a Lincoln though so its likely even the 400hp one will be heavily FWD. Wont know till some reviews get made.

Why won't Lincoln just facelift a Mustang and bring back the Mark series proper?
>>14675617
Because Lincoln is Ford's bitch and Ford doesn't want anything interfering with Mustang sales.

Ford should've learned now just by GM's experiments
You can make 3 cars with equal powerplants, apply different badges, different interiors with different options, and different groups of people will buy them.
That's why they let the Camaro team finally have free reign over the brand, fast Camaros don't cut into Vette sales, fast Cadillacs are their own market, etc

Because PLC's haven't been a thing since the '80's.
All you can sell to management is a crossover of one sort or another now

I wish Ford would stop with this "no V8" meme already. Even the Jaguar it's ripping off has a V8 option. and a SUPERCHARGED V8 option.
>even Euros are putting out V8's
>Euro luxury cars especially
>one of the biggest brands of American luxury cars refuses to put out so much as a vanilla V8 in it's car
>or any of it's mainline ford cars outside of trucks and Mustangs
what kind of bizzarro world am i living in

They've bet on high gas prices and high CAFE requirements, much like they did with the 4.6 in the late Eighties, so all their research has gone into engines designed around that assumption for at least a decade now. Further, Euro 6 emissions requirements that reward small displacement turbo engines are something to be considered with the One Ford design philosophy. That just leaves trucks for V8's and they'll take the CAFE hit for the relatively small amount of V8 Mustangs they produce. I suppose that a similar exception could be made for a halo Lincoln that sold in relatively small numbers but it would take somebody at Lincoln with some real juice to sell it to the board. Even then the Lincoln-specific V8 wouldn't be the biggest issue but it sure wouldn't help.
