Buying a mustang is about buying a performance car, which means less MPG, and its the sacrifice you make to feel cool.

there's nothing inherently wrong with having a V6 musclecar, but... it's still not a V8, which is the whole point of a musclecar in the first place.

A 2011 or onwards v6 because it has 100 HP more and it's actually a fast car, go for the performance package and you are looking for a car that can turn and does 5.1 secs in the 0 to 60.
It even has a better MPG for fuck sake, I hate my 2005 mustang.

If you're going to get a v6 Mustang, at least get a 2011 or newer. That year they drastically upgraded the power out put of both the v6 and the v8 engines. The v6 went from 210 hp to 305 hp and the v8 went from 300 hp to 412 hp. Honestly though, I had almost talked myself into buying a 2011+ v6 and was damn close to doing it.. but at the last minute I stepped back and looked at the bigger picture. If I bought the v6, it would be a car that I would enjoy visually and would serve to get me from a to b, but ultimately I would be looking to upgrade in the future. If I spent more on the v8 it would be a car that I could keep for a good long while. I was sold the second I started the GT for a test drive at the dealership. It didn't hurt that it has flowmaster exhaust, but that sound had me hooked straight away. I was not leaving that dealership without that car. The v6 does not have nearly as much authority.

I have an 05' GT, had the same electrical issues

It's a very easy fix though, the water leak is usually due to debris blocking drain holes next to the cabin air filter.

The water leaks onto the SJB which causes the electrical quirks.
Mine was fixed by leaving the SJB in some rice for a few days, then I cleaned all the connectors with isopropyl.
If that doesn't work, a new one is like $200

As for the spark plugs, they're a bitch
and the e-brake cable...same problem with mine

Keep your car or sell it, just wanted to let you know the water leak isn't actually that big of a deal. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

One of the faster mustangs around is a 2011 V6 with a turbo on it.
It's neat and a v8 killer, but most v6s are owned by women and cheap old guys.
