How can one be such a hack and be so oblivious about it?
>>14667201
Who is that? He looks like a cousin fucker and trump supporter
How is Eric a hack? I always thought his videos were pretty good...
>>14667201
Any examples why he would be a hack?
What's wrong with Eric?
>>14667201
The only thing Eric has done that I thought was kinda hackish was welding that ball joint to the control arm. But that guy has worked on way, way, way more cars than me, so I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

He installed bearing one time by hitting the inner race with a hammer, and called it good.
He recently did a tire demonstration where he said that its best to put the tires with better traction in the front. When everyone called him out on how much of a retard he is, and that he is giving out really bad advice that could call personally injury, he kept defending himself, didnt take the video down, and eventually locked the thread on his forum that blew up.
He also does other stupid things, like sticking his hand on a brake rotor while its being lathed.
Some of the repairs he does are just shitty, or ignores obvious things. Like he will take a brake slide pin, re grease it, and stick it back in without ever cleaning it properly, or cleaning out the gunk inside the caliper.
Oh, and he project Fairmount where he plans to upgrade it all to modern components, a V8, modern suspension, brakes, all that, he plans on sticking an auto trans in it because he wants to "maintain a stock look" like a fucking shifter out of the floor is going to ruin it.
>ITT people do things one way and get pissed when someone does it different.
This isn't school, we're not trying to pass the ASE test.
This is a garage, and if you make it work, it works.

It is better to put tires with better traction (I think you mean less wear, or more tread life) on the front. They steer, brake, and in fwd cars provide power.
In an every day situation are you really going to argue these as being less important?
>>14667853
tires with better traction always go in the rear.
im not going to explain this to you, so why dont you google it.
>>14667774
Except when someone is "showing you" how to do something it would be beneficial if it's done right using the correct procedures. If not call it hack garage and warn viewers that what you're about to do is not the way it should be done.
>>14667673
He wanted an auto instead of a manual? Truly a man who deserves to be skullfucked to death.
>>14667853
Best traction tires go at the rear.

>Not wanting sik drifts bra
>>14667985
his excuse was bullshit.
>>14668030
>>14668037
>not saying he wants to build a drag car
>>14668052
no, he wants to build a sleeper, but doesnt want to go manual because it will "ruin the stock look"
>>14668155
So, he is building a drag car.
>>14668021
FUKKIN HEKTIK
>>14668155
>it will "ruin the stock look"
It will. These cars came with a column shifted auto.
>>14668275
yeah? and? he can put down a floor shifter and not be obvious about it
this guy is putting in a 302 with an exhaust, probably wider tires, and he's worried about interior details?
>>14668051
gold
>>14668573
>a floor shifter and not be obvious
What kind of retard are you?
