Just got new tires and an oil change for this Corolla my mom drives. Will be hitting 60k miles very soon.

Should be fine for a long time now. The miles are low but it looks like they've been rough as fuck. Scratches and dents everywhere and the obvious front end damage.

I remember totally disregarding that look when I was a kid. Now I find myself staring at every 80s and early 90s Corolla, Accord, Civic, Sentra, etc. like it was a supercar. Shit's just comfy to look at for me.

Been seeing a lot of Corolla wagons lately and fucking loving them. Saw an AWD wagon once. No one understood why I wanted pictures.

Just leased an 06 CE. Looks quite clean inside, steering wheel average wear around the edge, no fog lights, engine is actually pretty new, must have been a front end rebuild. Hangs to the right but otherwise literally no problems. Insane.

Last car was a '90 Camry that was on way worse shape and had the same amount of miles that this one has - 1606xx before it got suprise narcolepsy'd into a power pole - and I'm curious if I can tastefully modify this car into something that looks nicer than a base black model. I don't want to fucking wigger stance it, don't want to nigger chrome anything, don't want anything highly flashy. Tasteful is the key. Any suggestions?

I think it might have something to do with the fact that when you see a car like that it's typically all dinged up with foggy headlights, so seeing it nice and shiny makes it look amazing
also my dad had a bright blue fifth gen corolla when I was growing up, there's probably some nostalgia there as well

as a kid i hated the design of 90's sedans, and even as I got older, "ugh, corollas, ugh, camrys"

but with everything looking like an inflatable balloon these days, even the small cheap family cars, something like the corolla seems beautiful in it's simplicity and non-bloatedness.

I used to hate the 90's mustang because i thought "it looks like a normal sedan" yet nowadays i find myself quite appreciative of it's design when i look at the current gen mustangs

That's the problem. Despite being a cleaner engine, it doesn't have the US smog equipment. And CA doesn't allow imported engines that never came out in the US in street cars.

Yes. They can be very fun Cars. Especially with a 4age. They are already light to begin with. The chassis isnt total shit. You can make them understeer very easily. All around fun car.
