I got the V6 because
1. It's the only one I could afford at the time
2. Is decently fast with 305hp
3. Good mileage because it's my dd that I use to drive to work and college.

Now that I have a higher paying job than the one I had at the time, I want to supercharge it.

if you really want to Supercharge it your also going to need to strengthen the drive line. every part of it, from the clutch (you did at least get the manual right?) it rental car spec. the drive shaft is especially prone to fail if taken beyond the stock limitations of the car.

with the amount of work you going to have to do, you still won't be ably to get much more then 60 or so additional horsepower. you can raise that number by buying some internals that are meant to take boost, along with strengthening the bottom and top ends of the motor. If you do all of that, your looking at about 100 additional hp (including the 60 from before) before the cylinder wall start to have issues. AT THAT POINT you've spent about 1.5 times the cost difference to the V8, meaning that youve got the lame amount of HP as a 2011 V8 but you spent 50% more to get there.

not if your dead set on a V6 and really don't care how much it will cost, just by an ecoboost crate motor and be done with it.

I think it was a two piece that could grenade at ~130+ MPH.

I at one point had a 2013 mustang V6, it was limited to like 112 I think but I used a tuner and got rid of that.

Took it to 130-135 while on the stock economy tires rated for like 120. Might not have been the best decision ive ever made. haha

You need a new drive shaft. Your's is a 2 piece. You need a 1 piece. It won't be safe to get your car dyno tuned when the super charger is on it. You'll need a new clutch also. These 2 are a must.

OP, do you want the supercharger just because it's easier to install yourself? If you're paying someone to install you might as well go turbo for more power.

If you want your car to feel much faster for not alot of money, shorten your final drive ratio and get a stiffer spring and damper set. Add a louder exhaust (noise is something like 60% of feeling like your going fast) and bam, your car will feel much faster without breaking the bank.
