hi theree,
i need to buy some 205/40/16 tires for my 7j wheel.
I have low budget but i do tight touges in my shitbox and i feel difference between shitty and decent tires.
Any opinions on Nankang? They are pretty cheap and everyone says that they are nice but im aware that shills are everywhere now.
My last tires were Toyo Proxes T1R and i was satisfyied well, but now that i have new wheels i cant afford toyos in that size.
Chink shite
Only fags with cars they cant afford use them. See them all the time on BMWs and such
Don't cheap out on tyres, have fun crashing.

nankang are good for everyday street use. they are fine for a daily driver. just dont hope to go on the track and expect them to perform as well as tyres that cost twice as much
General
Kumho's are the cheapest I'd go, Nankang is pure garbage

I love my cumhoes, my friend just got nankangs afew months back but he cant keep his integra running long enough to find out if theyre any good. they look gr8 i only worry about real heat ware, as an anon above said. good DD tire dont track on it or go light speed on the freeway until someone else has tested them and can tell you from experience that they turn to dust at 127mph
I have Nankang Noble Sport 255/40R17 on my E36 at the moment becasue they came with the wheels I bought. They're garbage at high-cornering speed but I don't mind because we're heading into winter (Aus) and all I need is a decent tread depth until the sun comes out again.
just buy federals 595 theyre cheap
nankang have this super tough compound so the wear is really good and they last forever. and well the downside with that is they are not as sticky. which i think is an excellent tradeoff for a shitbox daily grocery getter

General makes great snow tires. I've been using them, and they feel better than the Hancooks I had before.
Their summer tires are really inexpensive, but for some reason they have an M+S rating, even though the tread has almost no sipes.
I've been getting my parents general all season on both their shitboxes for under $250 shipped. cant beat that price, and much better than the shit they would normally buy.
Their winters are not up to scratch, I can tell you that
Can this be tyre general?
What's the best tyre for wet and dry grip on this list?

Probably Conti Eco 5
Triangle master race

>Any opinions on Nankang?
Used to have these silly races when I used to be part of a car club, we'd hit the track with what was called the 'Nankang Special'
They're terrible when they're cold
About the 2nd lap when they've got some heat in them, not too horrible, but still kind of scrabbling for traction
3rd, 4th and consecutive laps... hang onto your arse!
Once they got hot there would be all kinds of shit from delamination, chunks getting torn off in strips and sidewall flex that was like jelly. Hilarious fun.
On a street car, maybe not as bad, but I wouldn't do it as there's plenty of good mid-priced tyres out there which are far better

So they're a good choice for a street car that I daily drive? I won't die in the wet?
>>14651340
they have some sports model that is actually pretty grippy in the dry but shit at literally everything else
>>14657921
The Kumho Ecsta (KU31) is probably a better option in wet weather, they're not that expensive and a lot less expensive than binning it into a gutter
>>14658019
How's the treadwear?
>>14658207
A lot better than I expected actually.
Had them on for 20,000km and they've barely worn on the back, the ones on the front I've given a bit of a beating and slightly older at 40,000km are starting to get a bit bedraggled and might be good for another 4-5000
There is a bit of tyre noise, but that's mostly because they're fairly wide
>>14657877
I just recently bought a car with triangles on them. I know one of my friends uses them too but he gets little traction uphill in the rain. Should I just replace them with something good?
What about these? They aren't much more expensive than chink tires
>>14658505
continental is shit. its the shit that comes with most cars from the dealership, and all those tires suck
>>14651340
So what exactly do you want your tires to do?
>>14658612
You have no idea what you're talking about
>>14658612
nice troll 8/10
>>14658505
add an S
>>14659070
Why an S? Why not a Q or T?
>>14656028
altimax?
yeah, they're pretty good for the price
