I think 93 was before the 2.5L. Early second gens are notorious for going to shit at any point past 100,000 miles with the stock head gaskets. Also apparently a good fix is to get different head studs as well as new gaskets prior to things breaking.

I mean I have a Cobalt SS turbo and love it, supercharged is pretty slow but has a lot of potential for upgrades. The lsj motor is also really strong if maintained correctly. check out 3rd gear as it is know to fail along with the normal things such as fluids and their coloring, wheel play, tires, seat wear, ect. If taken care of I have seen these cars hit 300k plus
