Does it run?

They're okay for the money I suppose. the styling isn't brilliant though, I was considering an MG ZR or ZT but a friend told me the head gaskets like to blow after ~70-80k.

Pulls like a freight train m8

>>14609496

Yeah they do, look for one that's had the standard one replaced with the Land Rover head. The V6 engines are solid though.

My grandpa will probably give me his diesel ZS in a few years, when he stops driving. Are they any good? It's the one with the turbo, so I suppose it will have some torks.
>>
lol a fucking rover in a bodykit

enjoy your hgf
>>

These are seriously underrated cars, they drive amazingly well. Makes you wonder what MG could have produced given a better chassis than a Rover to work on. I can't speak for the diesels as I've owned a 1.8 hatch and this V6 saloon but based on experience I can safely say they are actually pretty awesome. Is your grandpas a MK1 or MK2?

V6 aren't known for HGF you utter clueless child.

It's a green mk1, just like in this photo.
>>
>>14609545

Nice. If I were you I'd look into getting one now, They're dirt cheap at the minute
>>
>>14609481
I like the ZS180 a lot. I had a 45 not so long ago, and I've always wondered how it would have been in performance form. I'd probably go for the hatch though, if I could find one.
>>
>>14609624

The hatches are nice, but the styling on the rear lights really ruins the car for me, and as ridiculous as it sounds I just couldn't bear how hideous the car looked from behind, so I ditched it and bought the saloon version.

Performance wise it isn't the best, but it does do decent mpg for a V6. £50 will fill the tank and if you're careful you can get 350+ miles out of that.

>>14609646
Fair enough. I'd honestly consider one when I can't work around my MR2 Spyder anymore, assuming there are any left by then.

I had the 1.6, it was slow of course but gripped amazingly on corners, so much fun and was cheap.

They drive great but not comfortable long distance and the interior on a 2004 is exactly the same as a 1995 Civic.
>>
>>14609653

When I was looking a couple of years ago there were plenty on the market. Numbers have dropped since then but the prices still seem pretty low.

If I was to take a wild guess why I would say it's probably because people are buying these on the cheap and ragging them out. Even the latest versions of these cars are over 10 years old now, and at the end of the day they are still basically Rovers and therefore build quality isn't brilliant. Push any ageing car and parts are bound to break.

Saying that, I've had this car for almost two years now and I've had no major problems. New back box, new front tyres and new pads are basically all that's been required to keep this car going. Drive them sensibly and they should serve you well.
>>
>>14609673
I only got rid of mine because I needed a bigger car for two kids and oil was leaking out the side of the engine.
>>
>>14609659

I think I prefer that smaller spoiler. The bigger one doesn't really suit the rest of the car.
