What's the likelihood of someone even wanting to buy into it? What's the intensive or point for them to do that?

Pretty low but it happens. Don't know the reason why.
You're prolly fucked though desu
>>
>>14585097
If your monthly payment is low then someone who normally wouldn't be able to get that low rate may be interested.
>>
>>14584953
By not taking it in the first place?

Otherwise, return the car and accept the loss of all the money you paid to rent it.
>>
>>14584953
do an early termination and trade it in to buy a car.

Sell it to a dealer that will offer you a good was of cash. You'll likely be under once everything is transferred to them, but you won't be as bad off.

Tell me you're better than this, /o/

If he's leasing, all the money he paid is lost from the very first day after signing t he deal though. It's not like he gets some pot of gold after the lease ran its course.

Some lease deals are excellent, Pay $79 a month to lease a 2015 jetta.

Not bad at all. and I still have two other trucks in my name (2001 ranger and 98 explorer).

I would think more times than not leasing is the better option for a purchase that depreciates regardless (except roughly 5% of rare collectibles). If you aren't into tuning/modifying cars it makes sense to lease a new car and get something newer and better every few years. Unless I'm missing something else I don't get it.
>>
>>14585915
I get 40+ MPG on 87 octane. Power is damn good for an econobox too.

I save so much in gas that it pays for itself.

You try driving a modded 5.0 pig fat explorer..., I got 16 MPG highway....
>>
>>14584953
Let me fuck your wife and I'll take your lease.

bullshit

>>14585987
That's a diesel advantage though, not a Jetta advantage
Even a diesel S Class can get 40+mpg
>>
>>14586630
>87
that's gas faggot.
>>
>>14586630
yeah man he should have got a diesel s class instead right, what is he thinking?

>someone wants new car
>go on craiglist
>search "lien titles"
>they can get a new ish car on lease and pay 2-300 a month on a car thats already depreciating and has payments made from you

>incentive not intensive
>>
>>14585907
the catch is thats a base jetta which is so fucking terrible in every regard, it has nothing more than a 1999 civic
>>
>>14586804
Literally doesn't make any sense.
>>
>>14586767
Whoops, I just saw MPGs
>>
>>14585893
True. But he won't even get through to the 'pay up or we take it back' deadline at the end of the lease period.
And they'll probably hit him for damage and excess mileage charges too.

I looked long and hard at leasing when buying my current car. After looking at all the conditions, and looking up what all the big scary financial words meant, I went for the financing-to-own-outright option rather than the rent-it-until-it's-devalued option.

You're making car payments every month for the rest of your life, whereas I own my car and don't make monthly payments at all.

Do you see the difference now?
>>
There are services that are dedicated to finding someone that wants to pick up a lease thats nearly over or something. Then it really comes down to going to the dealership and having the papers moved around.
>>
>>14587878
How much is your car costing you in repairs and maintenance?

That's why I financed a newer car rather than owning a shitbox outright. The shitbox was costing me hundreds a month.
Payments and maintenance on the newer car come out to less; no ongoing issues to fix, more fuel efficient, and it doesn't drink oil.

Lots of babied upper-middle Americans on this board that are used to signing their name and swiping their card.
