Where do you draw the line between "pigfat" and not pigfat?
>>
>>14550551
"things I like" versus "things I don't like"
>>
If it weighs more that 3,000lbs with you in it, it's probably 'pigfat'.
>>
Personally, 3200 all up.

3000 is thunder thighs.

>>14550561

we agree!
>>
3000lbs curb weight.
>>
>>14550555
This.

>>14550567
>>14550561
most sports cars apart from hot hatches and miatas and GT86s weigh more than 3,000lbs though. does this mean that almost all modern sports-cars cars are pigfat?
>>
Pigfat memes for faggots. It's just edgetalk for muscle car haters. Anything with a V8 or bigger is "pigfat" and to me that's a good thing so.
>>
>>14550555
Pretty much this. I bet some tools here think the S65 AMG is pigfat because it weighs too much.
>>
>>14550551
1) Has actually purchased his own car and made thoughtful, realistic purchasing decisions

vs.

2) NEET keyboard warriors ranting about fat, modern cars while being driven around in mom's Subaru
>>
4000lbs
>>
Ive always felt it was 3500 and 3000 was getting heavy

but Im mostly interested in old shitboxes so yeah

modern cars are more like 3500 and 4000
>>
You should be looking at hp/ton to determine pitfatness, but all /o/ can afford is NA Miatas and EG Civics, so I'm sure they'll just look at raw weight instead.
>>
>>14550685
Pigfat has always been curb weight by itself, since curb weight affects handling to a degree. That being said, sometimes lighter isn't better.

450 lbs
>>
Two Imperial tons
>>
>>14550551
1 pound more than a GTR is pigfat
>>
Depends on the vehicle

5000lbs for a truck or a luxury sedan is perfectly acceptable as long as it's nicely equipped.

4000lbs in a "sports car" is completely unacceptable.
>>
>>14550580
yes
>>
>>14550580
Yeah pretty much.

Pigfat isn't really about power:weight ratios, it's mostly just about the lolcantturn meme.

My Fiesta has about the same power:weight and torque:weight ratio as stock Mustang GTs/Camaro SS now, and weighs a hair under 3k lbs with me in it.
>>
>>14550685
not sure hp/ton is really a good measure. I know that dictates straight line performance, but in terms of handling and track ability, the weight really starts to be a factor.

the viper acr is about 3400lbs.. which is pretty heavy but the cars ability is undeniable. I want to say anything over 3400 lbs is probably bigfat for 2 seater.. 3500lbs is certainly pigfat

For 4 seater sedans 4000lbs is pigfat.
>>
I'm p/o/or so every car over owned has been a old shit box. Over 3K is pigfat to me.
>>
>>14550561

Plymouth superbird is pigfat
c4 Corvette is pigfat
E36 m3 is pigfat
Ferrari F40 is pigfat
Lamborghini Diablo is pigfat
Acura nsx is pigfat
Every 911 except for the orginal has been pig fat.
Every viper has been pigfat
Aka If you think 3k pounds is heavy your only judging off of shitty economy cars, cause most sports cars are between 3k-4k
>>
>>14550580

Most cars with power weight more then 3k lbs regardless of modern or not.

Only light weight economy cars are sub 3k
>>
3k pounds is not pigfat
My fwd sports car is 3k
>>
>>14553356
Don't confuse me for a pigfat spammer, I was just supplying the general /o/ consensus of 'pigfat'.
>>
I say once the car is over 3400lbs it's pigfat and if you want a car that's around 3000 or less you'll have to buy a car from the 90s and older
>>
2500

You're all driving pig fat disgusting cars

Fite me irl

pigfat = challenger
non-pigfat (but still fat) = mustang, camaro
>>
>>14550551

how can the challenger weigh as much as a body on frame v8 land cruiser? Please explain.
>>
>>14550580
>Sports car

Stop. You're right about the rest though.
>>
>>14550551
1500lbs
>>
>>14555431

You can option the ZL1 Camaro up to about 4,375 lbs.
You can option the Challenger Hellcat up to 4,455 lbs.
You can option the Ford GT500 up to about 4,200 lbs.

You can buy a Ford F150 that has a curb weight of just 4,051 lbs. Even the 8 foot bed Super Cab 4x4 starts at just 5,009 lbs.

Even the "lightweights" like the Z/28 at about 3,820 lbs or the Boss 302 around 3,640 lbs are still pigfat. A modern car like that with a 110-112" wheelbase is pigfat if it's more than 3,000-3,200 lbs in my book. A car has no right to have a Camaro, Mustang, or Challenger badge unless you can get a V8 model that's 3,200 lbs or less.

>tldr the Camaro, Challenger, and Mustang are pigfat

Personally i draw the line at 3400~3600 is defiantly getting fatty.

most of these guys that draw the line under 3000 are bench racing masters. Ideally 3200 with driver max however^
