this is a good car
>>
It's shit compared to the previous generation
>>
>>14491554
No it's not. It's a boring midsize sedan for boring people.
>>
>>14491564

How so? I may have to buy one, so any information helps.
>>
>>14491577
It may look better, but they have more problems than the previous generation due to going to all 4 cylinder motors, the Duratec 30 and 35 are better engines and the transmissions are better as well, if you et 2010-2012 with AWD you won't have to spend 30k getting it either
>>
>>14491584
Do the problems start happening by driving it like a normal person or driving it like a boy racer?
>>
I've heard that it's both, and the gas mileage is only slightly better than with the V6s, I have a FWD Sport with the Duratec 35 and get 27 cruising at 75
>>
>>14491584

Thank you. I found out that due to budget issues I might have to get a cheaper vehicle, rather than the one I want. The only alternative to me saving up enough money for the vehicle I want is to lease one cheaply.
>>
RIP 4LITRE BARRA MAY YOU OUTTORQUE GOD HIMSELF :'(
>>
>>14491626
So whats your budget?
>>
>>14491554
the auto transmissions have inherent problems, I've seen more than one with rebuilt transmissions due to hard shifting into 2nd-3rd

other than that they are ok reliability wise

the center console stack is fucking annoying though
touch sensitive "buttons", no dedicated seat heater buttons
it's just a bad layout that looks like it was designed by a designer and never tested

>>14491626
the way you just typed that, you need to look at something cheaper

don't lease your daily driver unless you are rich and want a new S class every year
>>
>>14491554
My mother bought one of these, told her at 70k miles she had to come in to have the transmission overhauled. They're good for a DD but if you don't have the money down the line for a guaranteed problem it isn't worth it.
>>
what's up with this ford shilling on /o/
>>
>>14491642
It's not shilling if they're awesome cars to begin with anon
>>
>>14491632

15k, basically I can't do monthly payments over 200 bucks. Anything there or below, for the short term, would work well. But, here's the problem:

I need a vehicle that I can lay down in to nap if I get tired on the road. I'm also 6'4", so it needs to be comfortable. It needs to be reliable.
>>
I'm also looking into buying one at 10k. Would that be a bad idea?
>>
>>14491654
https://www.google.com/search?q=car+loan+calculator&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
can you do a down payment/trade in? because at 200 per month you are looking at more of a 12-13k car
>>14491666
post your local craigslist and /o/ will shop for you
>>
>>14491654
How much are you wanting to put down?
>>
>>14491691
>>14491679

2500. I did the calculator before.

I say 15k because I'm gonna negotiate the price down by a couple grand, at least.
>>
>>14491704
Youll have a hard time getting that much off. If youre not willing to pay someone could be willing to pay that tomorrow making you sol.
>>
I sold my focus st and got into a 2016 se with the 2 liter. It's pretty comfy. Probably not the best car in its class but I don't really like accords and the wife already has a mazda 6. Most annoying thing about the vehicle is its shifting at low speeds.. it's just a bit jerky. The tune I installed took care of that though.
>>
>>14491704
you could get a decent civic, corolla, sentra for that price
if you have racecar feelings you might be able to find an SRT4 neon or SI civic or some other bullshit but try to suppress those
>>
>>14491647

t. ford shill
>>
>I need a vehicle that I can lay down in to nap if I get tired on the road. I'm also 6'4", so it needs to be comfortable. It needs to be reliable.

>>14491728
I know, but I think it's possible.
>>14491745
Those wouldn't fit the criteria above.
>>
>>14491798
>Those wouldn't fit the criteria above.
I understand the struggle being a 6'5" person myself, but I have slept in my 2005 civic si a few times
test drive things before you write them off

The 6 was already crowned king
>>
>>14491798
Where do you live?
>>
>>14491823
Are you cunts getting Dodge at all? SRT8 392 would be a good replacement for the Commodore and the Hellcats could replace the Barras and Supercharged Commos
>>
>>14491867
We still have Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealerships around but I've never seen a charger, let alone a challenger. We do get the SRT8 in the 300C but it's not really a direct Commy/Coon competitor.

Would be nice to see them offered with the mustang being reintroduced and camaro in a few years.
>>
>>14491890
If they were smart they would either build them there or import a ton of either the Hellcats or R/T Scat Packs or SRT 392s, there right fucking mean and would be a great replacement
>>
>>14491636
To be fair, they did change out the touch sensitive buttons for hard buttons in later iterations
>>
Does it come in manual? Is it above 3,200 lbs? Does it it have at least 275 hp?

If it doesn't have at least two of these things its utter shit
>>
>>14492315
2017 Fusion Sport mang
Curb weight: 3,681 lbs
325 hp AWD
>>
>>14492327
Not bad.

Still wouldn't buy it though
>>
>>14492327
Weak, the MKZ is going to be a better buy through and through
>dat 3.0TT AWD power/drivetrain
>>
>>14492471
I know their top level has 400hp, but is the pricing for these out? Maybe I just grew up in my family's 4cylinder Accord, but I always wonder what's the point in having bigger and bigger hp numbers aside from benchracing. The Lincoln's gonna be heavier too (hopefully) because of more sound deadening.
>>
>>14492498
Haven't seen price listings yet, but expect at least 40k for the 400hp AWD model, and yes they will be heavier and the suspension will be more compliant, but it should still perform well and the AWD system is supposed to route more power to the rear than previous versions
>>
>>14491554

This is a fair and accurate statement. It is merely good. It's not great, it's not exceptional. It's just good. It's a 6/10.
>>
>>14491679

Not the guy you're talking to, but I want something fun for $2500 or less. My DD is a 90's Buick Century.
