Not unless the transmission has the updated code or you enjoy dropping the subframe partially to replace the shift solenoids on the transmission.
At ~100K though it mostly may need engine mounts (one or two are known weak spots) and the timing belt.
Source: have a Gen 2 XC70, paid a little over 7K for it too.
It's not bad though, I would have preferred the V70 T5 or R and upgraded from my 98 V70 T5, but the awd has been quite nice in the snow. Surprisingly, even with winter tires on the FWD only ones do shit in the snow, they can barely make it across flat ground. Chains or spider spikes are a must.
