Is the Mustang a good car?
>>
No, its a car for people who dream of fast
>>
It's a bad car if you cant afford it, got beat by one, enjoy anime, your dad hated Fords, or your favorite manufacturer is in Germany. Otherwise they're pretty k.

This. I used to have a hardon for american muscle and I was dismissing everything else until I actually got into cars. Then I realized how superior German machines are and why american cars lose value so badly. Still love the classic muscle though

I added one of these to my driveway not too long ago. It's actually pretty slow, even with the 5.0. But I'm planning on changing the gear ratio and putting a limited slip back there in the future.

I think it's a fine car for the price I paid, but there is a bit to be desired. Especially the old warping dash from all the years of sitting in the Sun. A few things don't fit right together on the interior, as previously state. But it's surprising me on how worth the price it was.

The big girl needs to go on a diet, starting with 30lbs of exhaust and we'll see how much the new wheels drop, supposed to be 9lbs lighter I think but we'll see once the new tires are on how much it really is.
>>
>>14450878
Is that a motor swapped v6 or something? Every v8 mustang since 1986 is equipped with a lsd. You probably just need to throw a new clutch pack in there.
>>
>>14450960

No, it's a 5.0 D, it still feels a bit slow though. I don't care much for the power but I do like the torque.
The other car I've been driving for years is forced induced though, so I might be a bit off kilter.

I know it's limited slip, but it's just not locking up when I want it to. Which probably means it needs a clutch pack. But I figured I was going to build a whole rear end off of a spare one at a junk yard, and plop it in in the future. Which would count a more aggressively locking diff.

This. The new Camaro is fucking magnificent, but the V8 is bordering on luxury car pricing now.

Was initially planning on getting a new 2SS. But the cheapest I can find are around $40,000 with a lot of dealer markup.

Subsequently I'm just going to get a used $20k Mustang Ecoboost Premium and drive it for 4 years while I wait for the 2SS used price to drop down to my budget.

its a good car but my budget is too small for a v8 so i will probably pass.
for the price of a 2016 base v6 or eco you can get a 2014 v8 with the performance package...

a 2016 GT with performance package and recaros takes (with taxes) a bit over 50 grand in Soviet Canada

>>14448150
those aren't V6 tires, or wheels. Those are base GT wheels, faggot-dipped black. the hood has also got the, uh, vent cutouts? It's definitely a GT, but I'm wondering where his rear spoiler went. Can you option to delete that without the performance package?

>>14447685
it's really not bad. you get used to it pretty quick

>>14447764
I mean the camaro guys like the camaro and the mustang guys (and a lot of women) like the mustang. the sooner everyone realizes that the Camaro is a better performing and more focused car, and the mustang is the more mass-market, comfortable and significantly cheaper one, the better off we'll all be.
even Car and Driver admits that the camaro is a lot worse cabin-wise and less comfortable on a daily basis. they ding the GT on it's lack of obnoxious exhaust note, which is a moot fucking point because people can and will upgrade them to be above and beyond the stock Camaro's note within a month of ownership anyway.
I have that magazine, and the Camaro won by something like, 5 points out of a hundred or so. It was a lot closer in the comparison than you'd think reading the article.
The mustang advertises to a broader audience, and gets the side effect of devaluing quick and the most common variant is an automatic V6 driven by a woman. But that doesn't mean that they're completely shit. It's just different.

I kinda wish I got the 6 piston brembos but I'll probably pick up some take offs in the future. Yes they are fag dipped, I was playing with the colors to decide which color to get my wheels. Going gun gray and they are in the mail.
>>
>>14451943
I disagree.

yeah they look good, for about 5 years, then they look like cheap shit. Remember the 90's camaro's and stangs?

Decent dd? defensive driving?

decent mpgs, agree

not very expensive to own= everyfag has one

huge communities = fags get together and turns into a pissing contest

fuck huge aftermarkets to make them fast = why isn't it fast all ready

pretty comfy rides stock - yes, and no. they handle like shit imo, and i drove a new shelby a while back when it came in as a trade in, and it seemed like it was made for shorter people. I'm 6ft2. and the "a" pilar was so thick i thought it was a hazard blind spot. Possibly hitting people you don't see about to cross the street.

can be had to luxury? dude really. buy a cadi.

I had a 96' v6 1st gen 3.6l going through college. what a piece of shit. Plastic as hell, I had to run 100 shot just to keep up with the gt's

I hope I'm not really challenging your intelligence here, but I have the D 5.0 Motor. Since it's a real Cobra. It has 240/285 hp/lb-ft motor. Not the 215.

au contraire, mon ami.

The only other thing that could conceivably have been meant by 'kms' would be kilometre-seconds, but in that case, a space or half-high dot would have been required between the unit symbols, to indicate multiplication.

I'd hate to live in a country that pushes you to buy some shitbox two stroke diesel too
>>
>>14455718
In the UK its done by emissions not displacement, and even then it's not that big a deal. Its really the catastrophic insurance costs that push people into shitboxes until at least their mid-20's.

Only if you buy the GT and don't have a black interior (come on, you are spending so much, mind as well get something along with the black, like red on black or orange on black, w.e).
>>
>>14452420
Sounds like a bunch of excuses. Next you're going to tell me how you can gut the interior and take out the AC, radio, and spare tire to save weight.

New 1LE is awful tempting as a 2013 GT owner.

Still like driving a bunker though.
>>
>>14457626
Excuses for what? Why I didn't buy a car that wasn't even out yet? Oh and there is no spare tire to start with =/
