How much does credit rating matter here? I know its a massive thing is the US but should I bother getting a credit card just to build some rating?
>>
>>14422641
it's not a bad idea. Credit "rating" doesn't really matter so much as having a decent credit history; having a card that you've never missed a payment on will help quite a bit if you come to a vehicle or home loan.

you have to treat it as if it's a debit card, though. pay off the balance in full at the end of every month.

Integras and Preludes tend to be beaten a little harder than your average grocery getter and command a higher price. You'll want to look into insurance on one too as it might be a little higher.

Also auto does sort-of defeat the purpose of something like an Integra but that's a personal preference.
>>
What do people mean when they say a manual is precise?
>>
>>14426305
If a manual shift is badly worn out, when trying to shift into gear it will be all over place. Due to badly worn shift bushings or just bad design.

Basically imagine your sausage down a hallway instead of a nice tight pussy. Yes, a badly engineered shift mechanism will be like this. I've also encountered (WRX, 2000ish) a car that's incredibly hard to shift into gear. Requires much effort and is not that precise.

FWIW those wheels are literally $50-70 a rim. 17x7. They're not bad, I'm yet to find anything I like more that isn't billions of dollars.

People rip them off Gen4s to put STi rims and those ones with like a billion spokes that i don't like, so they're all over the place.

I was considering a set of Super Advans that import monster have available but I don't think they'd look right on a gen3 lib.

Also, just because the HG has blown and been replaced, doesn't mean it won't again. Unless they used the uprated MLS gasket intended for the turbo motors, it'll probably blow again ~50-80k kms later.

Fortunately engine removal is a two hour process with two guys and some basic tools.

>>14426481

i personally find it rather amusing that subaru's solution to this problem when they rolled out the 3rd gens was to go back to SOHC and make slightly less power on the 2.5L NA motors.

those just leak oil from the valve covers
>>
>>14426517
i always hated their engines but never knew why

Goddamn it thats fucking retarded.

erghhh
>>
>>14426494
That's not too bad if I could get a set of 4 for about $200.
I'm pretty lost when it comes to the world of wheels. There are just so many out there I don't know what I'm looking at. Personally I just go for what I like the look off (and what's cheap enough to fit my budget)
If you're not sure how they'd look you could always try doing a quick shoop, that will at least give you an idea of how it could look.
Hopefully this car will be okay, it don't need to be super fast since I'm limited to 100ks anyway. It's reasonably comfortable and spacious too so that's a plus.

>>14426501
I know they do a really in depth inspection and report on every single thing about the car.
>>
>>14426521
it only made one less horsepower and it was more fuel efficient and reliable, i don't really see a problem desu

subaru do dumb shit but they make up for it by being stupidly easy to work on for the most part
>>
>>14426527
in all seriousness i'd get a 3rd gen, not a 2nd gen. the 2nds are getting a bit old and tired and if they weren't well taken care of the motor's basically history.

on the other hand, the 3rd gen 2.5L NA motor is fucking impossible to kill

If you're just driving around town slowly there's no real benefit to AWD besides unnecessarily using more fuel.

Blow-through is not good. Seals all need to be in amazing shape or you end up with a sprinkler type thing.
Also you need to run more fuel pressure to get the fuel to actually feed, which in your case would entail actually fitting a fuel pump.

Yeah, this is a DJI Phantom 3 Professional. It costs a lot of money, though it's actually on pretty hella sale right now (don't bother with the Pro, the Advanced is fine, I only got the Pro because it was on sale for the price of an Advanced at the time) and it takes fucking beautiful shots.

The Federal Government has announced plans to introduce changes to the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989. One of the key changes that will positively affect motoring enthusiasts will be to improve the existing arrangements for importing exotic, rare, classic, collectable and special purpose vehicles.

Currently, individuals can only import a car or motorcycle under concessional arrangements if it is manufactured before January 1 1989. Keeping this fixed date would have steadily reduced the scope for importing genuine classic cars, threatening what is an ever important industry in Australia, especially given the impending departure of local vehicle production.
Shannons Marketing Manager – Mark Behr said ”Shannons has been heavily involved in working with the Government over some time, to replace the January 1989 scheme with a rolling 25 year scheme. We have put the case forward, on behalf of the motoring enthusiast community, to allow them access to the modern classics of the future. The government‘s decision should be applauded by all motoring enthusiasts. This new legislation will ensure continued prosperity for the motoring enthusiast industry, preserve important vehicle history and allow ongoing generations of enthusiasts to enjoy the hobby.

This decision will also enable the continued health of the car club movement, who often make important contributions to charity groups throughout Australia so there is a real social benefit as well as an economic one. As many people know, the associated motoring enthusiast industries – restoration services, mechanical repairs and so on make an enormous contribution to Australia’s economic wellbeing”.

Legislation to implement the changes will be introduced into Parliament later this year and the new rules are planned to be in place effective 2018.

Strayans, I have a question/poll for you cunts. How common are the hot hatches we North 'Muricans don't get:

>>A45 AMG

>>M135i

>>Scirocco R

>>Clio RS

>>Mégane RS

>>Civic Type R (EK to FK; we're getting the next-gen)

>>Focus RS (Mk1 and 2; we're getting the Mk3)

Is there a hatch that is of your personal preference?

Are they pricey? Part of the argument against selling them to 'Muricans is that they'd be expensive ($30-40K USD) small cars (the 2016 Focus RS is $46K CAD), and you could get a Camaro or Mustang for that price. Another theory is that hot hatches would cannibalize the Detroit Big 3's sales of the Camaro/Mustang/Corvette/Challenger.

I personally think that the wide array of JDM cars and Eurospec hatches/wagons more than makes for the lackoof USDM pony cars or the P1/Laferrari/918 in Straya. Plus Commodore SS and Falcon XR6, fuck I'm jealous of you cunts. It's not even legal to import the CL9 Accord Euro R into Canada yet.
