I was in my 500 and had a guy in an HHR next to me actually rev several times at a red light. Figuring it was a goof, I put my foot into it when the light changed and he couldn't keep up. Same shit at the next light. I can only imagine how ridiculous it looked if anyone saw it. Not to mention how bad the HHR guy must have felt losing to a slow ass 500.

Fast is top speed, any car can be fast, some are faster than others.
Quickness is 0-60, or 0-100 if we want to get really competitive. Not every car is quick, but most can be made quicker.

Got a 25 gallon fuel cell in the trunk.
I rip my plates off every saturday night and go get cops to chase me by doing donuts in intersections, speeding, etc. Takes a hot minute to get away cause the tauruses cant turn for shit.

Racing has never really been exciting to me. Running from the cops gives me the adrenaline rush i seek. It's wearing off now after a half year of doing it. I kinda wanna get a 50gal cell , lift her 3 inches and throw on some thick ass tires and do a multi-state chase.

There was a notorious speed trap on my way to work on 141 north. There was a stoplight, and after that there was a subdivision entrance where a cop always sat behind the sign. When I would drive my SRT to work, every once in a while, some fag would pull up next to me at the stoplight before the subdivision and rev his engine. I would always rev it back, and when the light turned green amble forward while the guy in the other lane would floor it. Three or four of those guys got caught be the cops.

I don't ever drag race on the street, it's dangerous, illegal, and it proves nothing.

I've raced a few times, mostly in HS. We always knew the outcome because it was racing my GTO against a 91 Chevy Pickup or a 94 S10. All completely stock.

I used to do stupid stuff with friends on group drives like see how fast we could get from one city to another on a winding mountain highway, but never actually highway racing, just high speed convoys. Never raced from a light, but have done a few pulls in town against friends in the dead of night.

Closest call I ever had was out cruising around in my 32 gts, with an acquantance in his 32 gtr. It was like 1am on a weekday, come around a corner and he does a huge slide coming out, only to have a cop maybe 100 meters away who'd pulled someone over. She looks at us and we slowly drive by staring straight ahead as she glares at us the whole time.

She was so pissed lol. Penalties are so strict for speeding or racing here that it's too risky to do it. Cars getting impounded on the side of the road, permanently, sort of thing.

i keep going places and hanging out from people with /o/ who want to show me the racing scene, so we go stand around in the dark for some half-hearted digs in an industrial area or drive around for hours looking to race someone on the highway, always watching for cops and sitting at gas stations. i'm 99% sure at this point that real, good street races are nothing but a myth, an El Dorado. whereas i never fail to have fun at the track, even if my bike breaks or i crash.

Very little riff raff, no reving or burnouts or other stuff. If someone new came and did something stupid we'd politely inform them not to, and they wouldn't do it again.

Every huge meet I've ever been to has invariably ended badly, with police getting called.

That's mostly what I did. Did lots of stupid shit in an '81 Firebird, then a '85 Camaro, then an '84 S10 (with the Camaro's drivetrain in it), then an '84 Cutlass ... on and on.

Had the S10 the longest and liked to run it from a dig. Fat tires, light weight and short gearing gave it an edge. With the F-bodies and Cutlass it was like 50/50 dig or from a roll on a highway.

Very rarely had to deal with corners. But I was in the midwest. You'd have to go somewhere with curvy roads for touge shit. The coasts, Rockies, Appalachia, etc.
