My MR2 is currently undergoing open heart surgery, she'll make it but it's sad to see your car in pieces with oil pouring out of her. Also thinking I'm going to have to sell her this year due to the impracticality of owning an MR2 as your only car :'(

I took the rear bumper off my car this week, the rear wheel arches are absolutely fucked below the bump strips and the wells on each side have totally rusted through and fallen off, including the bumper attachment points, meaning there is now no way to fix the bumper securely anywhere near the wheel arches. I have a good welder and I'm pretty competent with MIG, how ambitious is the idea of chopping out the whole of this section from a donor and welding it on? not my car obviously but red is rusted area, its on both sides, but more fucked on the port side

As far as I'm aware it's fine? Dunno. Few other areas on the car are a bit dodgy (sills been welded and my mechanic just found a rotten bar on the rear) but I think the rear end is fine.

I couldn't afford a turbo, my N/A was bought without an MoT in a bit of a bad way. Plan was to, over years, fix her up and eventually modify the engine with an aftermarket turbo/supercharger. Will be a few years before I can do that, if she survives the rust that long.....

anyone have aw11 bleeding tips btw? I bled it on flatground and it didnt surge anymore but then put the ass up and bled it and it started surging again. Ive heard some have had luck jusr putting the ass up and running it without rad cap.

My engine is siezed on my MK1. Happened just last month. Car turns on but the engine does not crank. How much could I get for selling it? Should I consider just scrapping it??

What I did last time was attach those two clear hoses they give you to the radiator and heater core bleeders. Then I opened the bleeder screws with the hoses pointed up (I clipped them both to the hood prop rod). Then I filled the cooling system from the back, started the motor, and topped it off as the level dropped. When the coolant starts to overflow then put the cap on and then shut it off. A spill-free funnel would probably make this easier and less messy.

Not true at all. Engine must be from the same year as the car OR newer. And the engine must have been sold legally at some time. So no rb26 cuz no cars with that engine were ever sold here. But 2jzgtte is ok cuz mk4 supra turbo was sold on dealer lots in cali. Must retain all smog related equipment, even stock cats. Go to one of the very few referee stations and get it passed
