Don't. It can be a nice way to spend time. So long as you're thoughts are more along the lines of "Gee it'd sure be nice to own one of these. Maybe I will one day, if I play my cards right" rather than "ZOMFG I will never own one of these I'm so inadequate", there's no harm in it whatsoever.

I had a rather similar experience recently, actually, except with a Saxo VTR. As you might expect it was a far less expensive mistake, but not one I'll be making again.

All of the cars I wanted were 30k+ new and I knew that it would be an irresponsible move on my part. I'm currently leasing a 2015 impreza (sub 20k, total of 7200 for 3 years full coverage)

I'm in my first job after college. A better car will come in time, I just try to look the other way when wrx's ride past.
