post cars you don't know why you like

It's the last of the real American cars that's why.
How can a brick be so beautiful?
It's the unloved sister of all its second gen N-body siblings

These are epic especially the wagons
I really think the Oldsmobile intrigue is one of the best looking American cars in the early 2000's.
It's also kind of a smallish car wish a large V6 so it's a little above average in the speed department for its class.
I don't even like trucks

Oversized body on frame road barge with a V8 in the front going to the rear wheels.

At least this post is fucking easy to explain.
The more and more you get confronted with those modern plain stupid designs with those tons of creases, counter flowing curves and inexplicable features, your hunger for basic, clean and minimalistic aesthetics increases.
Especially when you're usually not gobbling up every mainstream fad.
The beauty of old Volvos is that completely BULLSHITFREE design.
They're not trying to be something they aren't.

Thank you for putting it into words.
Modern cars are like Final Fantasy designs. So massively and confusingly overdesigned there is nothing about them that stands out or draws your eye. It's just a complete mess.
Fuck, I even like how Foxbodies look now.

Man that is goofy as hell, I love it.
My karate sensei drove one. Sensei used to let me punch him in the gut and practice neck breaking moves in the 3rd hour of practice.

Damn mobile posting, you know what I meant.
But yeah they did make em in Australia. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Fairmont_(Australia)
These bricks give me the biggest erection.

I hate american cars but the Mustang just looks so sexy
>>14181532
The motor in those are terribly unreliable. My brother and sister had their own ones, a few years apart, and they had the same shitty problems.
I get the biggest hard-on from one of these.
>>14181467
Those are amazing.

god, that thing must be enormous. I have a sierra that isn't lifted or anything and it's fucking huge.

>LeSabros
I love a fucking LeSabre. They're great DDs. They won't turn any heads, but they're dirt fucking cheap, and if you take care of them they'll run until the sun swells up to consume the earth. The trans in my '97 finally kicked the bucket at 540k so I got a 2000 and it's running strong at 340.
>>14181467
Yeah man there's something about that Caprice body style and the one before it, like the police cars here, that are really intriguing. I don't know what it is.

This is why I like the Twingo.
Sure, it's a little shitbox, but it knows it's a little shitbox and it's happy with just being a little shitbox.
Volkswagen Hormiga

Mine's a 99 and it's at 67k right now. Snagged it for 3 grand from a mechanic friend after he bought it from an old couple for the same price. I feel like I hit the lottery.
>>14188155
well said. too bad that "honesty" doesn't work well as unique selling shit nowadays
>>14188194
You did.
Listen. Maintain the bastard. Do a trans service every 30k. If you haven't done one yet, do one right now. Change your oil every 3k. 10/30 and a PF47. Eventually those polycarbonate elbows in the cooling system are going to fail. Replace them with metal ones. The rest of the shit that breaks should be very minor, and dirt cheap to fix. Take care of that old girl and she'll take care of you.
>>14181467
i forgot whats it really called but i love this one
i just remember dat ass and comfy ride i got
>>14188218
Already had the plastic upper intake thing start to melt. It let coolant into one of the cylinders. But yeah, that's fixed, and I plan on keeping this car in good shape for years.
>>14182052
the styling was there...

Dacia, Skoda and Suzuki are kinda playing that card these days.
Speaking of Suzuki, I'd drive the fuck out of a Swift Sport.
>>14182803
I drive one currently, nice cars if you know how to care for them.
>>14188290
that's true but sadly it's obviously not working too well considering suzuki is in a freefall and people still prefer obnoxious designs over actually great value for the money.
the dacia tv ads are funny tho.

Amc eagle, the nuns at Mt St. Michael's own one... I wish i could buy it from them.

I drove a Lumina for 2 years. It was terrible. Big, slow, terrible on gas, and ugly as shit.
I finally sold it to an Albanian immigrant who uses it to deliver pizzas. I don't miss it one bit.
