The BMW S1000RR is better than every other bike at every role a road bike should be good at. Touring, commuting, track duty, drag duty, easy to modify, easy to customize, production racers, etc.
When it came out it upset the natural order, just like the GT-R.
The S1000RR is perfect.
>>14161014
fuck me that is how i want to die
>>14161014
it's probably the best road supersport, but there are better bikes in those categories
>>14161014
I like the R1M. Maybe I'm insane but eh.
>>14161053
What this fellow has stated.
>>14161014
only 1 liter.
TOP KEK get a load of this faggot.
>>14161261
nah, it's the best supersport atm
>>14161303
pigfat
Ninja supersports are the GTR of bikes.
>>14161394
pig fast?
>>14161303
Hayabusa killer
>>14161014
Clearly there are better bikes in particular categories and the best overall bike hence depends on one's subjective importance weighting of each category.
There is no "best bike".
>>14161014
>The S1000RR is perfect.
Until the warranty runs out.
>>14161014
Stop watching so many movies, kid.
>BMW
This part kills the fun
I don't get why the H2 (street version) isn't better than it is. Supercharger doesn't seem to do much for it.
>>14165210
Emissions and the fact that they designed the H2R first and then went "Oh, we should make a street version".
The H2R is more of an Aventador to the S1000RRs GT-R.
Check out the 2016 ZX-10R
S1000rr is a good bike, sterile but powerful.
All the bikes these days (supersports) 600s/1000s are pretty much all the same these days with minor differences.
Really it's all preference and ergos that made me choose my bike
>Germistan engineering
>Ever good since 1946
good one OP. No islamic country has ever produced anything of value since before the industrial revolution,
Other than oil of course, of which they merely sat on till it became valuable.
>>14165302
>1946
check urself b4 u cuck urself.
>>14165310
isn't that the one that exploded and showered onlookers with flaming hot bits of magnisium?
Man, the germans sure are experts on how to flame broil a bunch of people in a hurry.
>>14161014
better performance doesnt make it perfect and there will always be a faster bike, sooner or later so....
japanese bikes are always easier to live with, idk but it might apply also to supersports
never owned any supersport tho
If I was buying a 1000cc ticket to hell, I'd get an F4 and go out in style. Best looking of the bunch, and really what else matters when they're all rocket-ship fast.
>>14165324
>Italian
Oh man!
The engine has just barely enough life to make it to the shop for a 4000 dollar replacement bill. Off warranty of course.
It's really impressive that italy can make not just one, not just two, but 3 separate companies that make a worse bike than shitzuki.
Almost as impressive as the no reference level retards that defend them as though they were an attack on their personal character
>>14161014
You're not far to be right OP (apart for the part you're a huge faggot obviously) that's an amazing bike, who gives a fuck of the bmw badge when a bike is that good, but...
>>14163978
...But this nigger is totally right...No best bike or bad bikes, only good driver or squids....
>>14165324
this
also reliability if you want to live with it and not die with it
>>14165321
only because the driver was a hektik lebbo and tried to skid at le mans.
it also dominated racing in the 50s.
>>14165351
owning a MV or a Ducati is like owning a Ferrari or any Italian supercar, its not supposed to be your daily
Why can't Japanese or Germans design bikes that look anywhere near as good as the Italians do routinely?
The styling gap with cars seems to have really narrowed in recent years, but with bikes it remains massive.
>>14165372
>I'm going to buy the worst performing, most expensive bike in it's class knowing full well if i ride it more than 3 times a month the engine will clench like a fist and the valves tighten like a sphincter and turn into a boat anchor
Italian "Quality". No wonder they have ebola.
>>14161014
>getting an insanely fast, torque-y, heavy bike for commuting
I got bad news for you anon.
the s1000r is much better for commuting than the RR. I wish it had an auto blipper on it though.
Can anyone cite evidence that modern Ducattis/MVs/Guzzis/Aprilias are any less reliable than other bikes in their respective classes?
With cars it's pretty much all a wash these days: there are good models and bad, but there's really no systematic difference in durability between makes. Everyone has to be at the top of their game to compete today.

BMW
>famous for delicious boxer twins
>now produces disgusting inline four
>great acceleration
>destroys laptimes
>challenges the Japanese superbike establishment
Nissan:
>famous for delicious inline sixes
>now produces disgusting V6
>great acceleration
>destroys laptimes
>challenges the Euro supercar establishment
Main difference the S1000RR isn't pigfat.

http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2015/04/who-makes-the-most-reliable-motorcycle/index.htm
>>14165466
That seems to suggest expensive bikes are less reliable (or, more likely, have more things to break, and pickier customers)
They make a wonderful inline 6. I own one.
>>14165449
I know Italian reliability is bad - but wierdly, I don't really mind that in bikes. Why care about that when you can buy two of the most expensive bikes for less than 50 grand? Have one in the garage getting fixed, the other you can ride whenever you want.
>>14165351
and how many Italian motorcycles do you own? Fuck, do you even own a bike?
>>14165466
DUCATI CONFIRMED A SHIT
I'm sorry but the greatest bikes are always 2 stroke.
