Besides European cars manage to match the comforts of American cars at much smaller sizes, which also comes in handy because our road networks have grown from ancient layouts and aren't just giant grids paved into the middle of nowhere. Maybe smaller automatically means worse in the US, and I wouldn't be surprised considering your ridiculous barges and houses, but that's not the case in Europe.

I was driving away from the gas station after paying 200 Euro per liter and I was suddenly stopped by a bunch of refugees on the road. They came up to my window and told me to give them the car. Of course, I didn't want to be racist, and I recognize my privilege, so I just got out and handed them my keys and wallet.
