Better than mx6,mx3, 5th gen , worse than probe GT
Better stock engine than 3rd Gen, wider aftermarket, engine swaps slightly easier
Shortest wheel base of the three ludes
Average curb weight

Here's one for ya. Find one of these with low miles and wake it back up slowly in the summer with light weight oil for a thousand miles or so then put some good synthetic in there and put it through its paces.

It's a shame they're actually disappearing forever these days.

That being said , I will never fucking understand how Honda decided to go after Miata money with an FF car with a removable top and then
1. didnt brace the chassis enough
2. give it the weakest fucking engine choice
3. no type r treatment
seriously what the fuck

Looked for them for 3 months in SoCal last year. You can get a GTS for ~$4k but it's gonna be shit, and you'll need to budget $2-5k for repairs which will probably involve an engine rebuild, transmission replacement, new diff, rust repair and basically an overhaul of the electrical system. Oh yeah, and budget $5k for a new paint job cause it's gonna be primer gray with great sun bleached panels.

Mine was $6700, and it's probably the least fucked up looking one I've seen in my area. I've driven it consistently for a year without any major issues.

>what is car financing

Poorfag niggers drive them.... Because niggers don't care about high interest rates... They only care about getting the car, something breaks and they still drive them like that because they cannot afford the parts.

>be me
>car gets a flat
>take it to tire shop

>cannot get repaired
>nigger haggles one used tire.. A 40 dollar used tire.
>nigger complaining about not having money

>"dis better be good tire, this cars expensive if it blows up imma get mad"

Any poorfag can finance one of those cars, specially niggers... Banks only care about cashing in as much cash as they can from niggers and poorfags.

So yeah... Its a poorfag car a nice one though, give it a few years and it won't be one anymore.

I have a '97 Camry that's pretty much been a hand-me-down-first car since it was new. That thing must have about 400,000 miles on it, but it still runs great, and you only have to fill up the tank every other month. I'd say it's pretty hard to beat when it comes to bang for your buck.

>>14145918
Honestly those 90's Toyotas are god tier in terms of reliability.

Many people underestimate the engineering brilliance of those engines... Its not easy to create a car that will have an engine that will basically last 300K.

Also keep in mind that people tend to not maintain those cars, making it an even bigger engineering achievement.

Also the 90's civics do an amazing job at resisting 150K with 8 careless owners and another 100K with a shit owner that just abuses it and engages vtak all day long.

I know. It's just this was my cousin's car and he gave it to my family for free because he didn't know what was wrong with it. I wasn't even looking for a car before this, I was fine with public transport, but this would end up in a junkyard if nobody else takes it. We found out that it's the transmission that needs fixed, so if I pay to get that fixed everything else looks like it's in decent shape. I think I'll keep it if it can get me through college.

Celica's aren't bad cars. I had a 5th gen for 2 years. The first year, I spent all my money replacing half the mechanical parts under the hood to keep it running. The second year it ran great, apart from a faulty P/S rack that was put in. 3 months after the new rack, I hit a deer and it totaled the car. Sold it for $1500 and got an iM
