You can't control the back wheels on a FWD aside from applying the e-brake, enjoy your snap oversteer as your rear wheels trail along like limp dicks.
All you can do for fun in a FWD is rip the e-brake around the odd corner which gets boring, sliding the rear around under power is amazing and never gets boring.

FWD is good enough for commuters and shitboxes tho. If your DD'ing a RWD it better constantly have rubber on the rear rockers and worn down rear tires otherwise you are a faggot.

Fwd is correct for low-power cars that lack sporting intent, and often sensible on cheaper performance cars because the money saved by using a mass-produced platform can be spent on improving other parts of the car.

All other things being equal, though, it is still objectively worse dynamically, and has no place on anything remotely bespoke.

I'd say it's rather optimistic to think public opinion is derived from engineering truth. I'll concede that rwd may well be harder to control, but even if traction control is required for some people to drive it, it still goes faster, all things being equal, and is capable of handling more power.

You're that my condemning bespoke fwd might not be fair. I guess some people might well prefer fwd handling for subjective reasons, and there's no reason they shouldn't be catered for.
